To be fair they're following precedent, Beast Wars had Maximize and Terrorize as in-universe things, though JG1 had transform dubbed in as well.
Incidentally the latest ep of RID was pretty boring, I'm not sure why they made the two teams so unbalanced. You've got all the character conflict stuff broken and Prime, Drift and Windblade are stiff as hell.

god the music and animation are so exciting but the show just so isn't.
Like, BWII had dodgy animation and it was obviously thrown together but the character animation and voice acting are so cheery and expressive. It's a shame they went to CGI for the UC because their past shows like it and Car Robots were just so much more alive.

Man, it's such a shame Hasbro gave CN RID given their history of treating transformers. RID is a slow burn kind of show, and just as it's starting to get pretty solid there's just a movie left.

I think there's a good reason why it took nearly 20 years for the Transformers fandom to fansub BWII.
Like, it was right there for over a decade; a project that anybody could've done. I mean, Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Superlink and Galaxy Force got fansubbed lickety split.
But nobody could be fucked to sub BWII or Neo until 2016. Hell, we may not even get Neo (and it's actually more boring than BWII is).

Ya know, I'd wanted to watch BWII for a really long time. After reading the character bios on TFWiki, their write ups made the cast sound really vibrant and interesting.
Actually WATCHING Beast Wars II, though... man, it's just one generic anime stereotype after another. I can't tell if the characters or boring or if it's because of the dodgy as fuck animation that looks like it stepped out of Roger fuckin Ramjet.
