Bolin was pretty shit, man.
That had a lot to do with the comedy writing just being terrible, but also the fact that he usually only became relevant through contrived reasons.

Even Varrick and especially Bolin got worse. Varrick had some nuance as this fucked in the head guy who would rather see his Tribe kill themselves to make a profit and instead promote this schmuck of a kid named Bolin for what ended up being no reason in season 2.
Bolin was a failed comedy relief that only worked when playing straight man to Varrick and that works with literally everyone (even literally me) since Varrick is a loon. I'll never understand Bolinfags aside from I guess aesthetic but there are so many better characters who are built with his proportions out there to lust over/bro with successfully.
