Thanks Aiden. Actually I'm the anon that's been saying I'm working on a RG RPG/VN, but I've been slacking these last months. I have a really hard time focusing but I really want to get it done so it's frustrating.

For something more specific that I could use help with, I want it to feature a more fleshed out town of Gloomsville. In the show, it's not visited very much, it's not really mapped or layed out, and there isn't very consistent characters (at least not named or detailed ones anyway).
So what I'm aiming for is an explorable Gloomsville with named NPC's. Right now my idea for it is like this:
Starting from The Mansion, which is to the North of Gloomsville, there is a south leading road that leads to Gloomsville Town Square. If you follow the street to the left, you will be in East Gloomsville, which is entirely residental. West Gloomsville has the park, and a few shops (a music store and a pawn shop).
I don't want it to be too big, because that would be more work. (I would have liked to put a graveyard in West Gloomsville, but oh well).
But there still needs a lot of ideas for the citizens and sidequests.

Beetlejuice is one of my favorite "Dark Is Not Evil" cartoons. Yeah, Beetlejuice himself is a jerk, but he's not a HUGE jerkor rapist. I'm pretty sure that Lydia would get along just fine with the lot of them.
Another cartoon that's got a similar message to RG is Growing Up Creepie, but only watch that if you're okay with bugs. I am, I went and had a tarantula that I made into an OC even, and so I enjoyed it a lot. They show live footage of all kinds of crawlies though, and I've seen people who otherwise like the show get the heebie-jeebies.
