It was when Cap was sent to space and came back to Earth. But it wasn't his Earth. So he fights alongside the other heroes of the Justice League as they fight the evil Skeletor and collect the five pieces of Exodia so that they can rid the world of darkwater.

It started back in 08 with 'Crisis On Infinite Baracks' when all that Obama merchandise came out. In the one shot where the Obama on Earth 59316 found the Chaos Emeralds and was able to travel to parallel worlds as well as interact with alternate versions of himself who also succeeded in finding them. However unbeknownst to the Obamas and even Uatu, The Obamaforce was created, this gave them their ability to travel and manipulate the multiverse. Only the Obamas could access it with the exception of Cap on Earth 616 who due to a freak accident was corrupted and transported into the DC multiverse
