that's kind of the point. Anyone near his power level could just sneak up on him too, and if you make it some "all abilities, final destination-only" match then you're past the realm of comics crossovers and into Superman Vs Goku fairyland

Talking about who COULD beat superman there's actually a lot of contenders. If the writer's pride is at stake however or if he has to beat them to save earth there is functionally no-one superman can't beat, so anyone making it into a all-in death-match is just doing something pointless
