That's interesting but it has kind of been done already. There was a Dredd/Predator comic and a Dredd/Aliens comic. I can't speak for the former but the latter is an underrated standalone Judge Dredd story which would also work as an introduction to the series. They were both combined in a hardback volume last year.

They've rebooted the comics into fitting this current canon with the movies, along with crafting their own linear continuity (hopefully). So I guess with this resurgence of AvP stuff, they're dipping into more characters to crossover with;they've done Aliens vs Vampirella recently I think.
My only concern being is them trying to force some Prometheus stuff within' the crossover.
I just want a Judge Dredd-Hellboy crossover. Is that too much to ask?

Hellboy / Anderson would be interesting. Or even Hellboy and one of the lesser known 2000AD stars that deals with the occult regularly - Devlin Waugh, say, or Ampney Crucis.

Wouldn't that have to be an 'elseworlds' or out of continuity for both Hellboy and Dredd? I haven't read Hellboy beyond Conqueror Worm. There would have to be some sort of time traveling device.

How would that work? Some creep time jumps back to 1970 with a bunch of advanced tech or something, Dredd jumps through the portal in hot pursuit but loses the perp, and has to team up with the local pros to track down the bad guy and get back home?

I'm not sure about the American/IDW versions, but if its in mainstream 2000AD/Megazine all the crossovers are completely canon.

Same way as the Batman crossovers happened, I suspect, inter-dimensional travel. Maybe the Dredd-dimension version of Rasputin summons Hellboy and accidentally takes the full-grown BPRD one and not the infant. Nice team up with locals, then they escort him back to his dimension of origin so as not to break immigration law.
