He's kinda like Will Ferrell and Seth Rogen. They play the same role in almost every movie they're in (in their case, it's "loud manchild") and it's mediocre at best; but when they're doing something different, like Stranger Than Fiction, they're actually pretty solid.

Adam Sandler does not care anymore (if he ever did). Now he just uses his own studio to churn out absolute dogshit with inflated budgets and tons of product placement, films the whole thing on a camcorder, then splits the production cash with anyone unscrupulous enough to be a part of it.
