I dare you /co/ to give me a legit reasons on why Lobdell's take on Red Hood is worst thing ever (the character, not the book).you can't
You never saw Shooter's take on Carol Danvers.

>random assassin training that adds nothing to his character development
>entire origin story is him being a pawn of the joker
>edgy McEdgster who's so tsundere towards his so-called only friends
>Mary Sued his way into forgiveness with the Batfamily that he's tried to kill in the past
>still butt hurt that Dick will always be better
>won't shut up about how he's the Robin who died

>again, so "edgy" that he gave up his favorite memory, and later on his favorite memory was him being in an incubator as a baby

>won't shut up about how he's the Robin who died
The only person you trusted with your life failed to save you. Person who killed you is still alive, and yet somehow people expect Jason to just forget about it.
He has every right to bitch about it to be honest.

>random assassin training that adds nothing to his character development
Aside of being a short hand to explain his prowess in the compressed N52 time line, the main goal of the All-caste training was to mellow him out and make him mature
>entire origin story is him being a pawn of the joker
Aside of the Joker being a notorious unreliable narrator nothing of that invalidates Jason's achievements as character. Joker could've set things up but ultimately everything was Jason's choice. Now Arkham Knight: Genesis was an awful take of the same basic concept.
>edgy McEdgster who's so tsundere towards his so-called only friends
He grows out of it as the series progressed showing his grow as character over time.
>Mary Sued his way into forgiveness with the Batfamily that he's tried to kill in the past
He was never serious about killing Bruce and the whole thing with Dick and Tim is so muddled by editorial that it becomes irrelevant in the long run. Specially with stuff like Battle for the Cowl not being canon anymore and Under the Red Hood being modified.
>still butt hurt that Dick will always be better
The important thing here is that he faces this fact instead of keep mulling over it all the time like it was on the pre flashpoint universe
>won't shut up about how he's the Robin who died
the mentions of it work within the context they're said
>makes the same snarky jokes over and over again
examples?
>again, so "edgy" that he gave up his favorite memory, and later on his favorite memory was him being in an incubator as a baby
That was the first cñear indicator of Jason finallybeing willing to move on from Bruce and carve his own path.
>makes Harper Row look like a well-written character
There's no real comparison here.

Of which he shows very little of

Who mentioned Arkham Knight? Is this your stock "deflect criticism from Lobdell by bitching about something else" defense mechanism? "Unreliable narrator" is a bullshit excuse, Lobdell doesn't do subtle or ambiguity. There would be no point to those pages in the first place if Lobdell intended it to be ambiguous. It was there for shock value, plain and simple.
>He was never serious about killing Bruce and the whole thing with Dick and Tim is so muddled by editorial that it becomes irrelevant in the long run. Specially with stuff like Battle for the Cowl not being canon anymore and Under the Red Hood being modified.
He literally says he tried to kill Dick, and his conversation with Tim implies pretty fucking hard that something like Battle for the Cowl still happened. It's just that Lobdell conveniently forgot he wrote that when he crapped out his DOTF tie-in
>The important thing here is that he faces this fact instead of keep mulling over it all the time like it was on the pre flashpoint universe
Except he's still mulling it over in recent issues.
>the mentions of it work within the context they're said
You mean in the first 3 pages of every single issue?
>That was the first cñear indicator of Jason finallybeing willing to move on from Bruce and carve his own path.
No, it was an indicator of Jason being too bitter at Bruce to want to relive happy memories.
