I don't remember ever being able to feel any sort of connection or bond with another human being all my life. Not my family, not my "friends" which I've always made out of convenience. I like animation so much because, if it has great characters, somehow it sneaks past whatever mental block I have and it allows me to feel what I can only assume is a close approximation of what "normal" people feel towards others.

Reptiles are cute in their own way, that doesn't work the same way as mammals being soft fluffy bundles of colorful energy does. The way Zootopia (city) is set up takes full advantage of that, lots of pastel and bright colors to enhance the fluffy mammal cuteness. I'm not talking about "should they get together in the future" future meaning after the events of the film's ending, since everyone pretty much wants them together and it will most likely be a thing. What I mean is that there is no fan speculation about their relationship allowed in the current film. Both creators have stated that there was 0 romantic intent or subtext.
Anything you thought was flirty or romantic was just in your mind, it was meant as friendly. That's what bugs me personally since I would have enjoyed guessing if they were totally getting the hots for each other near the end or if it was just meant to be taken as 100% friendly banter and looks, and that's what the movie devs confirmed. No speculation or fan interpretation, they've already stated what's canon.

Great message, meh song. Official music video lowers it from meh to bad because Shakira just had to shove her dumb real face in the video instead of just having the whole thing be animated. Never really been a fan of Shakira in any form though. Still did alright in the talking bits as Gazelle, though.
But seriously, probably the best message in a Disney song to date. Make mistakes, learn from them, overcome them, be a better person for it. And don't let the mistakes stop you any longer than it takes to recognize and fix then move forward towards your goals.

I just had a thought. How many buddy cop movies involve two competent cops who are in good standing with the police department and their chief? It always seems either they solve the case by the seam of their pants or they're LOOSE CANNONS WHO ARE OFF THE CASE.
