I remember seeing the trailers for MoS and hoping they were doing something like that. Like the world is this drab, miserable shithole that Clark feels out of place in. Then he puts the suit on for the first time and color starts to bleeds back in to the movie, increasing until the final showdown between him and Zod. Superman defeats Zod, the color is restored, maybe boosted a little and it's literally a brighter world because motherfucking SUPERMAN is here.
