Are we on the brink of a new Spongebob golden age after 12 long years?
>>81562843
Meh, since Zeus Cervas and Casey Alexander left things have been getting better, but calling it a new golden age is a bit premature.
>>81562843
Wow is Spongebob actually becoming better?
>>81563031
Steven Hillenburg came back and the two worst writers left, so it's slightly better
>>81563075
The entire writing staff has been replaced, actually.
>>81562967
>Zeus Cervas has moved on to Star Vs
>Casey Alexander has moved on to Uncle Grandpa
>Luke Brookshier has moved on to Pig Goat Banana Cricket
What will we do without these titans of writing on SB?

>Loss
Goddamn it OP
>>81563369
Replace them with even worse writers?
>Inb4 Feminist Spongebob smashing the patriarchy
>>81563540
Tumbler pls go
>>81562843
>loss
>>81563369
>Zeus Cervas has moved on to Star Vs
that explains much
>>81564846
Only as a storyboard artist according to IMDB, probably where he can do the least amount of damage
>>81563461
>le evil SJWs
Is Spongebob being good again true or is it just a meme?
>>81562843
I wouldn't count on it but maybe?...
>>81563075
Shit, I gotta check it out then
Spongebeef and Sandy are a match made in /fit/.
>>81566663
It's pretty good
>>81562843
BUNS N' THIGHS
>>81572764
Pecs and abs, mostly. He definitely didn't skip leg day, though.
Now that they've redeem themselves it's time to end it.
>>81570557
Sandy isn't a man or a transvestite.
>>81574382
True. Men and transvestites wish they were Sandy.
>>81562843
give it a little time. ain't there completely yet, but definitely getting there. episodes like "Company Picnic", "Patrick! The Game", and "Larry's Gym" are the funniest SpongeBob episodes made in a while and fit right in around seasons 3-4.
normally when a TV show has a 75% staff turnover between seasons, it's bad news, but it was actually a smart move for the show. Getting Kaz back and having the old Spumco vets board a few episodes definitely help.
>>81565214
Zeus actually probably was one of SpongeBob's most skilled storyboarders ever. check out his boards for "All That Glitters"
I'm trying to come up with a post-movie Spongebob drinking game. Here's what I have so far:
>Spongebob cries
>Squidward gets physically injured
>Someone screams at the top of their lungs
>That one "Rising Hawaiian musical punch" plays
>Patrick babytooth-smiles
>Sandy does a science
What else to add?
>>81575611
I'd put Season 9 between 3 and 4. 4 had some better episodes, but 9 has been more consistent.
>>81577607
>how to die of alcohol poisoning
I've been giving the newer episodes a shot, and while they're not terrible, something about the pacing and delivery of jokes still seems off.
>>81565214
He's credited as a writer in two episodes.
>>81563576
>Deleted
Oh good, the new janitors are MUH TUMBLR supporters.
>>81574474
Sandy skips leg day.
>>81580588
Yeah, it's still nowhere near as good as the golden age. Also the voices have all degraded pretty badly.
>>81580725
The upper body is more crucial to science.
Spongebob's recent episodes are like Weezer's last two albums.
They don't hold a cande to the golden age but it's nice having something decent after the garbage in the late 00's.
>>81570557
if they went on /fit/ they wouldn't be /fit/
