I'd say the thing about Flash is it's not fully wrapped and centered around it. Even though it's still there. Romance in general becoming the main focal point, with other 'major' arcs and stories weaved into it. Almost makes those seem secondary and not as important, which it should be.

John Ridley axed the show from his list of potential ABC series recently and Marvel decided to keep the pitch alive for their more experimental free thinking network Freeform which needs a show that isn't Pretty Little Liars to gain viewers. Running Shadowhunters 5 min pitch segments at theaters during Firstlook now has not gotten the network any more attention yet.
Blade and Ms Marvel are also still on the table as options.
