I personally love how not "hand-holdy" it was. For a kid's cartoon it didn't overexplain shit or anything. They threw in tons of comic characters and side stories and just let them happen and be interesting, the writing was very snappy and you didn't really need to know too much to enjoy it.

you know how like when something that was good turns to shit past a certain point you can say "oh well I can stick to the good and consider everything else non-canon, it never happened". Like for example, for me Supernatural ended with Season 5. Everything from S6 onwards is fanfiction. Or how for me the current Star Lord in Marvel is not 616 SL, just an imposter. There's always room for your headcanon to kick in and help you deal with the loss
But this is just fucking shit. There's no conceivable way in which I can go "yep, I can consider this stuff canon and this other stuff something else". It's just not possible especially because of the ties the show has to stuff like Flash and LoT

Darhk is a great character but he became shit throughout the course of the season and it's clear that the writers have absolutely no idea of what to do with the show anymore, other than write melodrama about Felicity. It's fucking retarded, they don't even actually know what Arrow is about. It's literally another garbage drama show like Gossip Girl at this point, probably even worse
