I'm starting to like Zarei less and less here.
She pretty much gave Patchworm a slap in the face with that "best spirit" comment, is demonstrating she's not below manipulating kids (see previous page), and is one of those people who thinks themselves as "pragmatic" while not only not being pragmatic, but also being an asshole.
I'm not loving this character anymore, Zack. You advertised her as a cool character and all I'm seeing is a rehash of Vegeta with a middle-eastern palette swap.
On the other hand, she's 100% right about Spender, though. While he can't be blamed for not being able to handle 2 enemy factions that both had the element of surprise in their favor, Zarei is absolutely right in thinking Spender doesn't trust her or anyone else, and that said mistrust is part of why everything went to shit. Spender is putting himself between a rock and a hard place with 0% chance of actually being able to do anything, and on top of it all his hidden spirit makes him a liability and a hazard for others.
Despite me loving Spender waaaaaaay more than Zarei right now, I can't wait to see who (and how) finishes Spender off.But my money's on Isaac.
