I'm still banking on mephisto. They have the ghost rider rights back. Mephisto is kind of a big part in infinity gauntlet, even though we originally thought loki would take over that role if they did go down that route in the MCU. They're keeping his role secret I think because it's a big role, or they think people will be hyped about it, and because he may be back in other movies. And from the makeup, it looks like something wearing his skin. Then again, I was almost positive they were going to be red hulk in the movie as a replacement for the ragnarok robot. In any case, I'm thinking it's mephisto.

Yes, I think so. Ultron's crew was the one from GotG, mostly. It was also a rush job because of Scarlett Johanssen and Chris Hemsworth both having babies that year. Russos shoot fast and don't cut between different takes for the same shot, to keep it going. Everyone I've heard talking about them makes them feel very decisive in what they want. They sketch the movie once and shoot it, with little to cut off after. Whedon is more diva-y and shoots too much to his own whim.
Marvel has basically two/two-and-a-half entire crews that keep alternating movies.

Nebula is important because it's she who really defeats Thanos in the original IG story, though how she becomes involved is an interesting question given it appears in GOTG2 she has gone rogue. How she gets back into Thanos's orbit remains to be seen.
Of course alot may depend on if the Other is just a In Name Only or he really is Chthon and Loki is really working for the Other, older God (a master of deception and ruses recruiting a master of deception and ruses); not only "accidentally" losing the scepter so it goes where Chthon would want it, but also the post credit scene of Thor, for example, implies Loki is trying to hide the Infinity stones from Thanos, he seems to not be playing by Thanos's rules at all.
Asgard is likely to be Thanos's first port of call, and I don't think he is going to be very friendly.
Mephisto would perhaps have perfect motive to ingratiate himself to Thanos by exposing Loki (and cheerfully spite his rival Chthon).
