Is Rocky finally starting to lose what little marbles he has left?

"I don't need no stinkin' Sanity Clause! 'sides, I know he ain't real, he's just dad!"
>>81400615
Fuck me this looks great. No wonder the pages take forever.
>>81400615
This is awesome.
>>81400615
Oh thank goodness we're off twinGambit Namek.
>>81400615
>>81400615
Now we just need Freckle to get over his PTSD and do his thing. Hopefully we'll see it again before they encounter the Voodoo Crew.
>>81400615
since no one seems to want to post the next page
>>81405126
forgot the page some how.
>>81400615
No.We're seeing the real Rocky surface.
>>81400615
Is it Christmas already?
>>81406421
IT'SLIKE CHRISTMAS MORNING
>>81400615
>Rocky crazier than ever
>Freckle has a gun
Lord have mercy on anyone who stands in their way. Cause they sure as hell aren't.
>>81400615
Not going to beat around the bush, posting my favorite cover of Whiskey in the Jar:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSS5QpTKKQU

Please don't let Ivy end up anywhere near the two of them. They won't remain sorted. They'll overlap.
>>81403115
They are worth it. I kept paying in to patreon cause even after hiatus she comes out with shit like this.
>>81400615
I really, really like slightly-more-insane Rocky so much right now.
>no more innocent Freckle and fun, dopey Rocky
>they're replaced by crazy killer Freckle and even crazier Rocky
>comic getting much more serious after Rocky getting his face split in two
I don't like it.
It's as if another author took over and decided to grit this shit up.
>>81410798
The comic had dark undertones all along.
Besides, concept Freckle was just crazy, it wasn't til the story actually started that he was a nice kid with hidden psychotic tendencies.
>>81405130
Thats not ominous at all.
I wonder if volume 3 will be all one night or whether it'll go beyond this event.
I know she said there will be a timeskip at some point.
Also who do you think will die? I'm hoping its not Viktor, mostly because thats too easy
So how does it feel that Lackadaisy has updated multiple times before Prequel updates once?
>>81411192
>>81410798
It's always been a comic about Prohibition era gangsters more than a comic about cute fluffy cat people. Now shit's just hitting the fan harder than before.
>>81411879
I do wonder whats gonna happen to Freckle. hes my favorite character. I don't wanna see him go full crazy forever, but I do wanna see him get pushed out of his comfort zone.
>>81412430
I get the feeling that if Mordecai has to die, Freckle will be the one to kill him.
They are kind of foils for each other anyway
>>81400615
ahh, I miss carefree Rocky with subtle hints of torment. Doesn't seem like he'll ever go back to that facade.
>>81412775
Its like a day later after getting brained by a hearse. Give him time.
>>81410961
>>81412836
>now has to live with a giant scar on his face
I don't think he'll be going back to his old self.
>>81412892
I'm sure it'll mostly heal.
He's gonna be fine eventually. Well by his standards of fine anyway
>>81410798
I'm surprised that anyone who reads the comic would object to those things. The comic's had dark themes for years, and the stuff released on the website has been hinting at Rocky's bad influence playing a part in dragging Freckle into crime. I don't think the current situation has come as a surprise.
I remember feeling bad for the guy in this comic, though. He doesn't get to be a named, important character who'd find a way to escape near-death situations. Instead, the punchline involves his death. - Anyway, my point is that the comic here shocked and upset me way back when I first saw it. But after seeing this kind of black comedy, I understood what the tone of the comic would be and what to expect from it. The world and the characters in Lackadaisy Cats are not nice and fluffy.
Remember when she was talking about abandoning the comic after volume 2? Remember when she had so much work-related stress that she was seriously considering giving up?
I remember, and it was horrible.
>>81413753
Jesus Christ how horrifying. Glad it didn't come to that.
I wonder if she still plans for Volume 3 to be the last one.
>>81414273
It kind of feels like that, like both sides are readying for something big. Mordecai has gotten that carving blessing in, Rocky has that cut on his noggin.
I'm being nervous either way. On one hand, it's nice to see a story wrapped up before it goes downhill, but on the other, I'm going to miss these characters.
>>81413753
It was a bad time
>>81411107
My guess is Calvin, and Rocky will feel guilty and either leave the whole thing for good or become a boss himself.
>>81414682
Eh, I dunno. Freckle is like the secondary main character it feels. I doubt hes gonna bite it.
I could see maybe Ivy dying though. Maybe
>>81408957
Isn't Ivy like the only somewhat good influence on either of them?
>>81415702
Ivy is hardly a good influence on Freckle.
Shes the reason he was even at Lackadaisy when the pig farmers showed up. Though in the end that turned out to be a blessing

That comic you posted is a good example of why I would object to the latest change in tone.
Although it was not 'nice and fluffy' it was still presented in a humorous way that made up for it.
The latest comic however is just downright gloom.
There's no humor in the panels.
>>81416036
Just because this comic was dark doesn't mean comedy is dead in the series. Its just setting the tone for whats coming.
>>81416036
>There's no humor in the panels.
Uh, what? Rocky's insanity is quite funny - in a very dark way.
>>81400615
>I'm invincible.
Rocky is going to die.
>>81418710
They can't kill him he's too likable... oh god he's going to die hard.
>>81405130
>When warm air meets cold air, the warm air is pushed upward because it is lighter than the cold air.
>As it cools down, it condenses into clouds, which can form thunderstorms.
>These storms become supercells when a horizontally rotating column of air at the surface caused by warm air meeting cold air goes vertical into the storm cloud (usually by a lifting factor, such as a cold front meeting a mass of warm, unstable air). As this column of air rises into the cloud, the forces inside the storm cause it to spin faster and faster. This rotating column of air inside a supercell is known as a mesocyclone,
>it is the first step in tornado formation.
Oh shit. I thought it was just going to be a really bad thunderstorm, but we're about to enter a disaster movie.
>>81419242
I wonder if Rocky's going to get carried away to Oz.
>>81418710
You cannot kill that which cannot be killed.
Sweet sassafras, Rocky ain't right in the head.
Well...that is to say he's even wronger in the head than normal. Puttin' that extra crease betwixt those fuzzy caterpillars he calls eyebrows appears to have done him a world of harm, if the bloodshot eyes are anything to go by.
By the by, if anyone wants to know the song Rocky's muttering...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlWTASnnft4
A very traditional Irish song about robbery, murder, and betrayal by a woman. The Pogues do a damn fine cover of it, Metallica too, but I decided for the more classic Dubliners version.
>>81419696
>>81408740
That cover you also need to hear, since it's just one man with a simple instrument, which is the closest thing to the original version which The Dubliners brought to the states.
