I'm feeling pretty optimistic. Winter Soldier is in my top 3, and as long as the focus remains on Bucky, Steve, and Tony I don't think the bloated cast of characters will hinder it much at all.
I'm pretty psyched about it. Everything i'm seeing in the trailers looks cool. The action looks good. Black panther looks fucking gnarly. I'm surprisingly interested in seeing how spider-man is in this movie and I love the costume. The story is interesting and hopefully isn't the shit show the comic civil war ended up being, and holy hell it looks like Iron Man isn't shithead evil fuck fuck man. It has ant-man being fired on hawkeyes fucking arrow....holy shit that makes me so happy. And it doesn't look to be nothing but 'clever remarks' Whedon style. which i honestly don't hate but I much prefer the slightly more serious tone the russo brothers brought to winter soldier. The right mix of cape craziness and seriousness.

It COULD be another good-to-great Captain America movie, but everything all advertising suggests it's another corporate Disney Marvel quip-and-slugfest. And considering that they have the comic book Civil Warto base themselves on, then outlook not so good on the complex narrative front.

For me, I just really identified hard with Antman's struggles to put his life back together, having a high degree, and being told by all his normal family friends who've never struggled job hunting a day in their life to "just get a job!" like all you have to do is apply yourself and the opportunities will rain on you.
Like I don't have child support payments to complicate everything like he did but that sort of opening really hit me hard and drew me right into the character.
