Next movie should focus on how Nick bottles up everything and pushes people away when things get too serious or emotional. How humor is a good coping mechanism but when you use it to block emotions instead of expressing them it's unhealthy.

Then again he may not have known how she truly felt, so he acted cold and distance when she finds him again to draw out a reaction/explanation from her.
