The fights with predetermined outcomes were quick to end, and any fights where the outcome could go either way were ended with tricks or some other intervention that nullified the fight entirely.

It's weird how this comic has undergone such a radical change over its lifespan. Like, it always wears the same coat of (deteriorating) paint, but you can feel the soul and rhythm of the whole thing start to stutter and just bleed out at some point.

Aradia and Sollux will initiate their final plan. Sollux will become the most important character on homestuck, akin to Gamzee, due to their unique classpect (ignoring the Beforus-trolls, because fuck these parodies and Meenah enabler)Truns out Sollux is actually two people. See, I worked out a system of symbols for cross aspect and classes some time ago. Did the very opposite of this however, kept it simple and uniform. Have the shitty drawings I did ages ago for them, which I may redo for clarity.
Essentially each aspect symbol has a round part and a long part. For each of these symbols just sub in the respective parts of the aspect symbol to make the complete classpect.
That artist is really talented, but I can't say the symbols aren't over complicated. I love the colour palletes, that's the artist's strong point.

It's somewhat ironic, I think. Feferi Peixes was born into a unique role as the heir of the Troll Empress, with a dangerous and heroic future that she was predestined to deal with. Even at her young age, she made plans, she gathered allies, she prepred herself for the hardships she was born to face, to complete her quest, dethrone the Empress, and lead Alternia into an age of peace and prosperity.
Then Sgrub comes along and renders her whole life irrelevant, because it has another, much more important quest for her to accomplish, and all her previous importance was basically null.

They worked well as devices for fun interactions and jokes. All the development for them has felt slapped together as hell and most of it didn't even feel coherent in the end, with Dave, Rose, Karkat and Jade being all over the fucking place.
The worldbuilding and sense of humor in the early acts were the best parts of the comic.
