There's no need to shoot down the idea entirely. There's no info on her as is so we should simply leave a number of ideas out in the open to be considered. We don't have to decide on what's canon right away.
Personally I think that while she should be self-contained, she also shouldn't be give a role that's too in-depth or serious. Keeping her tongue in cheek fits the nature of most of her posts. I am focused on Ladybug Summer Special and Oban because those projects are in the most advanced state right now. Oban is about 80% there while Ladybug is like 40%-45ish as far as inked - script goes.
