I refuse to believe anyone enjoys this beyond muh nostalgia.
Why don't you make a thread about what you like instead?
Like those super shitty 2003 turtles or the boring original comics.
>>81365671
The movie is a tad more believable than anyone actually liking the 87 series.
No one is capable of claiming they liked a show with talking brains and bunbling idiot rhinos without lying their asses off. That show was shit even for kids.
>>81365671
Wait people hate this....
>>81365671
Jim Henson liked this
>>81367022
Everyone that is not a nostalgiafag
>>81365671
I genuinely enjoy the second one. The first one was just too weird for me.
>>81367336
Yea as a kid I thought the first one got a bit too weirdly dramatic for a kid's movie about pizza loving ninjas fighting ninjas.
You know what you don't need nostalgia to enjoy? This.

>>81365671
have you seen the new movie? it sorta sucked. This at least always fills me with joy when watching it. especially the cartoons.
>>81365671
Shredder's voice was awesome.
I love the part when he says I Am Your Father.
ROFL.
>>81367526
>this mask is much creepier than anything Jason Voorhees ever put on his face
American "horror"

DUDE STAR WARS REFERENCES LMAO
WOAH HAHAHA SCHLING SCHLING HAHA CATCH MY BLADE HAHA WOAAAHHH SCHLING SCHLING
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU HAHA
The first one is a wonderful movie. It makes you buy drama between a bunch of weirdos in muppet-turtle suits. It's also got some generally amazing scenes, great fights, Casey Jones,
The hilarious wayward ne'er-do-well youth paradise where kids are smoking...
I don't get how anyone can dislike this movie.
>>81367022
/co/ basically despises anything made before the year 2000
>>81367022
>>81367890
/co/ always hated this movie, but for a board that is basically full of human garbage under the age of 25, what do you expect?
>>81365671
well, I disagree.
And I refuse to believe that you're not baiting AND samefagging, OP.
>>81368188
>oldfags can't take any opinions other than their rose-tinted own
Nice.
10/10 bait, op is a fag
>>81368034
> /co/ hates this movie
> remembers when kind anon marathoned all TMNT movies for days straight.
> so much love for this movie then.
When did the hate happen? When?!
Fuck you I loved it back then, and I rewashed it last year, and still loved it
>>81368474
Ignore OP. He's a complete fag.
>>81368474
Since the IDW series basically
As already mentioned /co/ basically hates anything made before 2000
>>81368342
Yes, the movie OP mentions IS nice to watch.
>>81368474
It's just OP being a turdburglar
Rewatching it, I see why it could be disliked.
>cringeworthy pop culture references
>mostly stilted fight scenes
>rushed third act
And cramming in entire Mirage arcs into one movie while mixing them with the Fred Wolf show's tone did not work.
That grimey ass real Ny feel is the best
>>81368474
>>81365671
Better than this bullshit at least.
>>81366985
>>81368950
>Only way to defend this shitty movie is to take potshots at the cartoon
Nice. Glad to see this film truly stands on it's own feet.
>>81368474
You haven't been paying attention then. One of /co/'s biggest problems with the movie is that the turtle's acted the same and made bad jokes. The movie tends to only get props here for following the comics.
>>81368886
>cramming in entire Mirage arcs into one movie
That's another problem. If they were going to follow the comics, they would have had enough material to work with for 3 movies. If that was done, maybe wouldn't have got Super Shredder and japanese time travel.
>>81365671
Well none of the movies are well received to be honest:
1990
>Critics Consensus: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is exactly as advertised: one-liners, brawls, and general silliness. Good for the young at heart, irritating for everyone else.
1991
>Critics Consensus: Not only is the movie's juvenile dialogue unbearable for adults, but the turtles' dopey and casual attitude towards physical violence makes them poor kids' role models.
1993
>Critics Consensus: It's a case of one sequel too many for the heroes in a half shell, with a tired time-travel plot gimmick failing to save the franchise from rapidly diminishing returns.
2007
>Critics Consensus: TMNT's art direction is splendid, but the plot is non-existent and the dialogue lacks the irony and goofy wit of the earlier TMNT movies.
2014
>Critics Consensus: Neither entertaining enough to recommend nor remarkably awful, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles may bear the distinction of being the dullest movie ever made about talking bipedal reptiles.

>>81368886
>>81365671
Now I remember why /tv/ and /v/ hate /co/.
