Flash has a 16,000 frame limit.

Even at 12 FPS that would only be 22 minutes.
>>
For whatever little animation we actually got, it definitely felt oddly smoother than normal. Is it because of experience, or have they moved to a new platform from flash already?
>>
I hope they can use some HTML5 magic to implement Easter eggs while using rendered videos
>>
>>81336222
I think it's partly because Flash is janky as hell on modern browsers and doesn't render properly anymore, so watching it as a regular video is much smoother by comparison.

Oh man, everyone here who thinks they can't pause on H*R needs to get the All-In-One script. It lets you pause, use a seek-bar, full-screen the video, get subtitles in different languages, link to the hrwiki page, etc. It makes things so much better. I can't live without pause and full-screen.

Watching Homestar Runner cartoons is always surreal for me.

I grew up with the series, and it's influenced my style of humor in ways I can't even begin to understand. Hell, it's influenced my entire personality to some degree, which is terrifying.

Watching new stuff always feels like meeting old friends. I wish they'd bring it back full-time, but I think web cartoons like HR are dead. You just can't compete with shitty let's plays or other easy-to-make content for eyeball time anymore.
>>
So this is what H*R has been reduced to, eh? A yearly April Fool's toon?

Meh. I mean sure it's unrealistic to expect the Chaps to do weekly sbemails, but when they said they were going to continue doing H*R stuff, I was expecting a new toon every 6-8 weeks or so.
>>
>>81335397
I was surprised they even HEARD OF that thing
>>
>>81339379
Humidibot definitely was.
>>
>>81335397
It's probably due to having a higher quality mic, plus being a YT video instead of a flash, so they don't have to compress the audio.

Coach Z and KoT did sound *slightly* different, but still very much like themselves.
>>
>>81345216
It's also a very odd sense of humor that not everyone can get behind. It's like, lighthearted cynicism or something, I don't know what exactly to call it.
>>
>>81345216

I wish they would too. I often think about how awesome the net used to be 10-15 years ago.

>You just can't compete with shitty let's plays or other easy-to-make content for eyeball time anymore.

That unfortunately what the mass audiences what to see these days. Things that don't make them think. Look at half the garbage comedies on TV, they're made for the lowest common denominator of viewers.

>It's also a very odd sense of humor that not everyone can get behind. It's like, lighthearted cynicism or something, I don't know what exactly to call it.
It kind of reminds me of some Sam and Max material. It's kind of cynical, showing the world as a pretty bad place, but with a sort of child-like glee that has fun with it without needing to go to "adult" excess.
