Compared to what the state the books were in before Flashpoint, it's better. That's not to say that New52 was a huge success. It got better sales than it previously had but quite a few books were shitRed Hood, Superboy, Blue Beetleor just canceled immediatelyrip OMAC, Static and Men of War, Blackhawks etc.I did enjoy a lot of the new books but it's possible they could've been taken there without the Reboot.

I read my first DC book on January 1, 2010. So yeah I'm still pretty pissed.
The majority of what I read now is from the 90s, for instance I'm reading every Tim Drake and Kyle story and I'm almost to the 2000s.

The problem with the New 52 is that literally none of the stories told required a reboot to happen. DC could've done a soft relaunch and achieved the exact same results. Literally everyone would've been happy.

Multiversity would have been pretty much same without Nu52 fuckery just like Batman Inc Volume 2 would have been pretty much the same, with the only difference of Dick wearing Batman's costume rather than Nightwing's and Babs as Oracle having a couple of cameos.
Same with 90% of Green Lantern. That stuff ignored the reboot in almost every regard.

Not entirely. Even though DC fucked up a lot of things with continuity and edginess and whatnot, there were still some great things to come out of it.
They were willing to try things that would have been deemed "unsafe" in pre-Flashpoint DC, like Dial H, Prez, OMAC, I Vampire, All-Star Western, etc.
I think the day-1 digital push is probably the most overlooked thing. I don't have to visit a fucking comic store anymore and it's great.
