As for wolfsbane. easy...Saoirse Sonan. She's Irish and a damn good actress. Possibly probably too good and big enough not to wanna be in an ensemble movie like this.

I mean, yeah, they boot up "rocketman" as Sam blasts off and Rahne's werewolf would be awsome but Magik's holes in space and Mirage's magic arrows kinda suck all on their own.

Because there are people in their world demanding that being a mutant should be shameful and unacceptable to everyone, including the mutants themselves who need to be made to acknowledge pure human as inherently superior.
Just openly identifying as a mutant is an affirmation that there's nothing wrong with being that, and the only way that becomes an issue at all is if someone else is needlessly intollerant.
