So how do bullets in Remnant work? They're not actually made of lead and gunpowder etc, just dust? Or chunks of metal with "fire" dust as a propellant? But if all dust is elemental, what kind constitutes "normal" ammunition, earthen dust? Do we ever see spent shells or is the whole round fired? If dust comes in all sorts of different of flavors why do we rarely see different kinds of bullets being used for different effects, are fun kinds just too expensive for Hunters that aren't Weiss to use regularly? I'd say we probably have a variety of dusts that are refined and used in various ways:
Most Common -
Dust Propellants - Probably the Red/Orange ones. We got a hint of those when one of the goons mentioned they needed "burn" crystals and Roman detonating that red crystal in Ep 1 points to them easily being used for that purpose.
Explosives - See Above
Fuel Source - We got confirmation from a WOR about them being used as fuels and how they don't operate in space apparently.
Exotic
- Large scale Fuel sources - here we have to sort of guess. If dust based fuels exist for rocket engines, then we can safely assume they've figured out varieties for power production to some degree.
Dust Rounds - Like the explosives we thought about earlier, I'm sure there are exotic "dust tipped" rounds that detonate like tannerite or something similar. Different colors provide different effects like we saw with the Paladin fight. Freeze explosions/Fire Explosions/Smoke etc.

Basically a follow up take on his goddess piece. I know Grimm Pyrrha is a contentious topic here, but my idea would be a Grimmified Pyrrha with Cyber Jaune in his original spot only helmet-less now showing off his full augmentations. Pyrrha would now be sitting confidently, even smugly in her throne now that she's "come back" and there'd be "trophies" of the series' various enemies littered about the dais where the throne is, and things like Salem's robe staked to the wall of her throne above a splatter of blood. He's less normal than Xander who was literally just a dude where as his friends were a slayer, a witch, several vampires, and a demon.
However Jaune doesn't have the over the top badass air that everyone else in the show does. They all laugh at Grimm and actively try to get into danger. Well they did anyway, they're probably not so gung ho about hunting anymore.
He was the only one that actually seemed concerned he was fighting an Ursa in Vol2's finale, even though he actually beat it well, because he's not that bad after actually getting some training, although he still lacks the incredible physicality of the other characters.
He's introduced as just a regular dude who's never fought a Grimm in his life, with bare minimum sword ability that pretty much anyone on this board would have provided they are in decent shape, and had his aura force unlocked instead of training it up, where as everyone else is so badass being tossed a mile into a forest is a laughable situation to them.
So yeah. He's average. Well he was. Now he's decently powerful even if he doesn't realize it, but he's easily self insertable if you start from the beginning.

Yeah, but Yang had been doing most of the heavy lifting in the tournament thus far. In addition to doing most of the damage in round 1, Weiss was knocked out of their duo round and Yang took out both memes.
And she has the best semblence for the tournament, as she gets stronger as her aura drops.
She's the hardest hitter on the team. As we later found out that's not the best strategy to use, but at the time they thought she was their best member. So did most of the fans for that matter.

I'm deeply worried that the Blake vs Roman rematch is going to be a precedent for how other rematches go down. Like, Roman styled all over Blake and Sun, and then some; give Blake some dust, BAM Blake wins. Now hopefully that was just a one-time thing attributed to surprise and keikaku, but I could easily see them going "Oh, Yang has a robot arm now. She beats Neo/Merc/Adam/Depression/etc." and the same for all the other characters.
How easily they could make a tiny, easily obtained powerup the difference between a crushing defeat and the hands of competent threats and a curbstomp for justice on the silly bad guys

I don't know about this, Ironwood seemed to not care that she was self aware. I remember that just after she got killed it sounded like he was trying to explain to Ozpin why she looked the way she did, but Oz cut him off. I think he probably sympathized with Dr. Light's reasons for wanting to make a mechano daughter. Depending on how much of James is metal now he may not be able to have(biological)children either.
