Have you seen the new movie? Superman is in his purest form. He was forced to Kill bruce so Martha could live. but instead of killing him, he asks him to help. And Bruce gave him the live action version of The Dark Knight Returns "The one man who beat you" monologue. this movie was Poetry, and the subtle "Superman is Jesus Christ" was absolutely beautiful. This movie is way to good to be called a "capeshit" movie.

I love when batman goes 'I UNDERSTAND' and batman shoves him thirty feet.
Like yeah thats superman. You act mean to me I PUSH YOU fucker. He could have maybe explained himself and why he was there and his mother being in trouble. But batman interrupted him with those harmless sonic rays and acted real mean.
Also i like how with the exception of one scene he has this dour woebegotten expression on his face like in that ten second montage where he actually saves a couple of people who aren't lois lane.
I also love when hes like 'i can bring you in without breaking you' to lex. Which is so cool cos its superman showing that even though he has the power to rip people apart and break their bones with his godlike strength, he shows us mere mortals mercy when he so chooses.
They really nailed superman. And how he isn't a nice person at all and just begrudgingly does good acts and mopes all the fucking time.

I think Superman should have confronted Batman in a calm and reasonable manner. Especially since Batman ultimately has good motives. Even if Batman didn't listen (which he probably wouldn't have) at least he tried. At least he would've gained some kind of insight or understanding about what makes Batman the man he is. Jumping to threats and violence immediately against fucking Batman was dumb, and it's writing clearly only served to further the misunderstandings that would fuel their inevitable conflict.

This is my biggest fault of the movies. Think of the first time you saw batman, superman, spiderman. That is the version that most of us remember the best and compare to all other incarnations that we come across. Some will be better some will be worse but that first vision will always hold a place in our minds. The problem is that this is the superman/batman that children/teenagers will know. An impostor in the suit that has all of the same powers/gadgets but that fails to even attempt to reflect the characteristics of who they are supposed to be. He is the big blue boyscout for a reason. He is the shining light in a world of darkness that every one can look up to strive to be. I don't have a problem turning batman darker and probably most other superheroes but I want superman to be above all the rest. Let him lose his shit once in a while and cut lose but he can't be sad and mopey and careless.

It aint one scene. He saves the plane, he rescues luthors girl in the out of control car, he stops that heist and saves the guy from the minigun, not to mention the climax of the film is him saving metropolis. Overall the donner emulation really made that film suffer but i recently watched it again after having seen man of steel in prep for BvS and then BvS in theaters and it was refreshing. It still aint that good but it doesn't honestly feel as bad anymore.

He had legit reason for going full out but it never had that build up. One of my favorite instances of it is in the justice league cartoon when he fights darkseid. You can see the build up and when he does let go you think oh he done fucked up now.
