I actually like how they show America and Japan version of art styles. Seeing how things have change I wonder what it would look like today.
i always thought it would be cool if mikey could do the thing that usually western cartoons do in thing like the looney toons to be a contrast of the characters from japan doing anime gags

Surprisingly enough, this show got me into anime more than DBZ or Pokemon did. I always thought the idea of it was pretty clever too.
The show itself probably isn't as comfy as I remember, but watching it early in the morning in my dark living room and being so attracted by the Japanese style (as cliche as it was) felt extremely comfy.
Used to love it, but I haven't seen it in years.

animation wise it's aged badly (not like it was spectacular to begin with) but the writing has it's moments and it's pretty decent. Probably not as good as you remember but still okay.

Season 1 actually has some pretty great episodes and writing, but it ran out of steam going into season 2. Fun show overall though.

Gonard and Guano were actually pretty funny, the rest was pretty bad. Great theme song though. Fun side note, one of the first Youtube videos I ever watched was of 2 guys filming their tv while this show was on and poorly riffing it.

Positives:
>Physical humor and slapstick was pretty good all-around.
>Voice cast was really nice and played their parts well.
>Sean Schemell plays a character that parodies the stereotypical anime hero off-set and the stereotypical anime villain on-set and does both really well.
