Worth a read?

it alright

It's one of Jurgen's best works. Take that as you will. That said it's pretty enjoyable imo.
>>
I'm gonna have to get to it now that Jon is apparently a mainstream character.
>>
>>81264508
It's good set-up for post-Rebirth Superman/boy so I would
>>
>>81264508
I like it but, recognize it is only slightly above mediocre.

It's Jurgens so it's competent and inoffensive. And the premise is interesting enough.
>>
>>81264508
I'd rate it above average, which from Dan Jurgens is exceptional.
>>
It's okay. Dan Jurgans is really great at characterizing Superman as he should be written, but he's still a mediocre writer at best.

Sure, it's okay.
>>
What a terrible drawing of Dean Cain.
>>
He's going to be the main Superman after Rebirth so you're best catching up with him. The book's fine, a bit old-school, and family man superheroes are comfy as fuck.
>>
I only read it for Jon. Honestly I enjoyed it pretty much. Seems like it won't last long though. Sadly it was interesting.

The first issue had me a bit worried, it seemed like it was going to throw too much at the reader: Superman keeping tabs on criminals, Lois' secret identity and Intergang, Jonathan always on the cusp of figuring it out, oh and some alien thing is chasing Hank Henshaw across the cosmos and 3/4 of his initial crew are missing.
I can gladly say it has handled all that exactly right while still putting out interesting single issues, pacing is really good, the stuff that should be a back burner simmer are treated as such.
All in all, worth a read if you've got the time for a good, comfy Superman story. It's not groundbreaking, it won't be lauded as a seminal work, just a really good, old school Superman book when very few heroes were going for old school. I can see it becoming suggested, maybe recommended, but not necessary reading if you want to get into Superman.

Isn't it a limited series? It's supposed to end at 12 or something, right?
>>
>>81265263
It's only because he's getting upgraded to the main Superman
>>
>>81265718
Yes, because it's going to be rebranded just as "Superman".

And "Supersons", I guess

I laughed.
