Snyder does get God Stuff better than many writters (the Bats dream and elevation is pretty perfect). And he can make scary shit looks actually scary.
I'm not worried about DARKSEID and the new gods, and hell on earth, apokolips etc.
I Worry about how he would handle the heroes facing Darkseid.
I don't think he can help himself, to make Darkseid Scary he whould show so much dark stuff that you will feel as if the heroes are just terrible at their jobs.

He'll probably think that the term 'New Gods' is too blunt for his nuanced, philosophical Justice League. Either that or WB will tell him not to use it out of fear of boycotts on the Bible Belt. In any case Darkseid will just be represented as some sort of vague force of nature in humanoid form. Apokalips will get a passing mention at best, or be visually represented as basically Hell, complete with lakes of fire etc, despite Hell being a separate thing altogether.
His defeat will probably be the result of a fucking fistfight with the Justice League or Superman outspeeding his omega beams, as opposed to something clever.
