I don't regret much from /co/, but one time a kind anon started a little story about Tara meeting Earthshaker from Marvel Earth-982 (Mayday Parker/Spider-Girl's world) asking him for help believing he might be her biological father. In the end she realized that she was the one who screwed up, and hurt the people that cared for her the most.
She is the same after, but she knows she is too dangerous to be let close to the people that care about her too much. She would rather remove herself completely in order to ensure that nothing like that ever happens again, because deep down she knows that it's something about her, and not someone else. It shows that she really cares about people, and always wanted to help, but is just too much of a problem child to handle the responsibilities of that kind of power. She's always self-conscious about what others think of her, how things can go wrong, how she might screw everything up. She wants everyone to like her, but knowing herself in the end it could all just be one big lie and she could hurt someone again. It would seem like she could get psychological help for these problems, but it may be difficult for her because her previous experiences in getting help ended badly, with her at fault.
