Thoughts on this show?

I like it.
I don't go out of my way to watch it, but whenever I watch with a young relative all the DC refs in the background make me laugh.
It's not the worst cartoon on TV.

It's better than /co/ generally thinks it is but worse than most fans will admit.
I don't want to say "hit or miss" because I personally haven't experienced an episode I would call a complete miss, I also haven't caught each and every episode.
If you go into it expecting Teen Titans or Young Justice prepare to get salty, otherwise you should be fine watching episodes and forming your own opinion on it.
They tried to warn us about the fate of older CN shows being revived and not funny.
They warned us three times, once per season (Let's Get Serious, The Return Of Slade, The Fourth Wall).
At first, we thought they were referring to themselves in a biting-the-hand way.
But than, new and butchered cartoons that are being revived under new writers that would be reviled against.

The upcoming Justice League Action show, set for 2016, was obviously forewarned by their episode "Let's Get Serious". The episode even made several references to the Justice League, doing them homage as a final send-off before the channel captures them and sweeten them up for the new, lowered age group they want.

Hit and miss, mostly miss
I like the artstyle by itself, honestly I'd like to see it used in a game or something.

"The Return of Slade" has signs of "Be Cool, Scooby Doo" hidden in them; the episode was all about them making a clown look more cool and awesome, but ending up creating trouble and terror. The clown before the transformation is the original Scooby-Doo, and Beast Boy and Robin are the greedy CN executives, looking to cash in on the new, mutated clown creation, "Be Cool; Scooby Doo!" It even goes down to the very title itself, with Beast Boy and Robin saying that the clown wasn't as cool as they remembered, and they wanted to make the clown cool again.

Finally, we have "The Fourth Wall". This episode is by far the most comical focused on the bunch, yet they still insist on having some conflict with a villain, all with wooden dialogue and acting, and the teen titans acting like tyke titans, as if they were in grade school...
Yes, if worded to fit the PPG universe better, this would of described the new reboot of the Powerpuff Girls show.
It makes sense in the end; the CN crew could of easily seen what is going to happen, and the only ones who decided to stand up and warn us to not get attached to the past, was none other than the Teen Titans Go writers. They had to make sure the references weren't obvious enough to be spotted by the executives, but noticeable enough for the audience to pick up on...
Had it been a show that was completely new, like We Bare Bears, the message may of gotten through.
But it didn't; we took it as them trying to make their show funny by ruining precious moments of the past, and we jeered and sneered them.
They were the heroes that we needed but not the ones we deserved.
I love the older cartoon a lot, and I still don't quite get why people get so up in arms over this show.

And then they fart in Control Freak's face, which is clearly the equivalent of the writer's response to the critics. They suck, they know they suck, but they don't care.

I find it bizarre that they would think that people don't like TTG because it's dark, considering the series most people actually like had very few episodes that were light on jokes.
I love it! None of the characters are "likeable" so they're able to be zany all of the time. It's pure comedy.

But the original Teen Titans cartoon was far from dark and hardcore. It had dark moments, sure, but it also had moments that were wonderfully retarded. Remember the fucking tofu episode?
TTG just isn't funny. It's far from the worse thing to come out of TV, but it's not funny.

I honestly think so myself, I bet they just wanted something "cutesy" instead. Which is sad cause I think the other one is better, doing cute and accurate at the same time. Her face expressions in the images shows her character from TT a hell lot better.
I just feel sorry for the V.A's that they might be unwilling participants in this whole thing.
