Hey guys. I just got finished reading First Thunder and Power of Hope and I'm craving more Billy Batson in my life.
When I first heard about Captain Marvel I thought it was cheesy as hell-sounding, but I am pretty much loving everything I read with the character so far.
Any recommendations on what I should check out next? Is there a list somewhere of Shazam recommendations?
Also general Captain Marvel/Shazam thread.

These plus the Multiversity one-shot and the Convergence mini.
I really liked the New 52 stuff. Shame they only did 1 volume, but it's pretty great.

Too bad the guy that did interiors on it doesn't really do interiors on comics.
>This fucking page

I liked the character but I haven't read very much of his comics. Thanks for these.

Winnick gets a bad rep for some of the stuff he does but he's a solid writer if a bit edgy.

Context?
Anyone else here order themezco Captain Marvel?

IIRC there's confusion and Superman thinks Billy is a menace. They fight and end up on a mountain where Billy reveals who he is.
Superman sees a scared child that was given a lot of responsibility for his age (or any age). He proceeds to lecture the wizard.
IMO the best page is the last one... as well as one that can be pretty wrong taken out of context.

Billy Batson's best friend was killed by a load of mobster's bullets that bounced off him when he transformed. He kind of went a bit nuts on the guys responsible. Superman tracks him down to Mount Everest where they first bonded. Captain Marvel reveals he's really a kid in a man's body. Superman is horrified that somebody gave a child that kind of power and responsibility and he goes to the Rock of Ages to shout at Shazam to shout at him for a few pages. Great scene.

It really is a great scene, you can totally understand Clark's outrage.

Surprised Clark isnt kicking his aging ass up and down the mountain.
>MFW Bruce would have just stopped him mid-sentence and just said "Oh heyI totally get it, might want to get a backup kid just in case".

Batman would just make Billy Robin and use him as his bullet shield.
