There's something about the way they write characters in these movies that leaves a stale taste in my mouth, and I feel that this will be the case with the Titans.

Roster focused stories are usually like that, with cartoons and comics a good writing and art team can flesh out the characters and their chemistry with one another, however there are a lot of constraints with DVD movies.

Raven could be a bad luck charm to the team, a magnet for all sorts of extra dimensional monsters, black magic and creatures ripped straight from nightmare. Maybe they're attracted to her because of her lineage. All she wants to do is move on and have a normal life but they just keep popping up.

A team book works best when each character has their own, rich history, their own rouges gallery and their own trials. That's why the avengers is a much more interesting book than fantastic four.
What enemies does the invisible woman have?? Who's the torch's arch nemesis? Paste Pot Pete? But Cap has zemo, red skull, thor has loki, sutur.. etc.
If each member on the team is established before the team is formed they can actually act like a person rather than a plot device.
I would just love it if they kept the Raven and Damian love story thing as a big red herring. Fucking with my OTP from TT is killing my interest in this movie.

They showed a lot of terrible things. Starfire and Nightwing are dating and fun together but lol Nightwing leaves the movie so Damien can be the TT robin. Can't have fun in a DC movie!
The main focus seems to be on Damien and Raven, with Raven apparently being the one trying to teach Damien to open up.
The worst thing in the preview was Cyborg. The director was saying that Cyborg "Isn't a Titan, he's an adult, but he still shows up at the tower with pizza and the Titans let him in because that's what teens do: hang around playing videogames and eating pizza."
