I start with Danny Phantom, which could've had a Real Ghostbusters balance of actually scary shit with comedy to offset it.
Come to think of it, stick Danny into any Superhero comic universe and his powerset would make him A-List in a big damn hurry.

I'm still not sure WHY we weren't allowed to have our straight up tribute to 70's Super Robots cake for more than 2 seasons. But maybe if it'd aired now on the revived Toonami?

There's stronger than Batman and then there's Doomsday, the thing that literally punched Superman to death. Most things I'm okay with Batman beating because you can outsmart or outmaneuver most DC villains, but Doomsday was invulnerable to everything except Superman.

I totally agree that Batman doesn't have to be an upfront combatant, and it's his non-combat skills that make him one of the most important members of the Justice League.
What annoys me about him being in a fight with Doomsday is that Doomsday is essentially the single villain that Batman could do absolutely nothing against. There aren't any tactics or strategies to throw at Doomsday, there are no weapons that work against him, there are no heroes that can do a thing to him except for Superman. I understand that they nerfed Doomsday for the movie, but with a nerf and character rewrite of that magnitude, what's the point of including Doomsday in the first place?

Well the point is your average joe knows superman, wonderwoman, and batman, but he isn't gonna know doomsday, or death of superman or any of that. So you can kind of just do whatever and have a good bad guy to show. Like I said the problems with the movie come from the writing.

You're right, but like I said, at that point why use Doomsday at all? To me, it's symbolic of the massive amount of disregard Snyder has for the source material, and that's really hard to fix.
Ultimately, to me, when you have Superman and Batman killing at the levels they do in the Snyderverse, you've stopped making a Batman vs. Superman movie and made one about guys who resemble them instead.

Snyder didn't write it though, and the two writers are guys who have done good work before. But yeah I get where you're coming from, personally I think its because they feel some insane obligation to have things be comic related. Personally for me the best part of the movie was the mad max dream sequence and I'd totally watch a super man v batman movie that was just some crazy alternate universe. I really didn't have a problem with murder though I feel like it fits both characters just fine.

Maybe have it a bit like Paranorman, where there's ghosts fucking everywhere but he just has to deal with the violent ones while trying to ignore the fact someone got killed in front of his house a long time ago and is constantly there or something. Then it would be a bit trickier to catch the violent ghosts, knowing when to pick his battles. Like at first he tries to do something about all the ghosts but gives up.
