I'm fond of the idea of a Predator hunting in the Wild West.
Cowboys mistake the wounds for Indians, old, german doctor and veteran cowboy realizes that there's no way in hell it's actually Natives.
Old doctor nicknames whatever did it "Gungir", based off Odin's inescapable spear.
Hick cowboys mishear or struggle to say it and just call the Predator "Hunger".

Im really ond of the idea of making stories where the predator not only lives but is the main character. Make it feel like a weird serial killer journal and build on their spartan-like psychology, and most of all, give us an insight on their view of humanity, how they can admire or revolt the most extreme examples of our species as they add them to their "collection".

I kinda imagined them as divvied up into houses or clans that were sort of self regulating, but all adhered to a shared code of ethics.
Like each clan has a massive space pyramid palace that houses the entire tribe, and they only really get in touch with other tribes for special occasions.
Of course I also like to think that they have cultivated a human slave society to act as guards and servants for their palacesand concubines for the Preds that don't impress the females enough to get laidso I don't know my ideas may be shit.

Not enough Predator threads so I'm bumping with a movie idea I'd like to see one day.
Ninja Revenge movie vs Predator
Ancient Ninja Clan learns their ninja art from an experience the founder had when two preds wiped out a samurai lord. Style's their weapons and techniques after pred skills and tech. Clan deems the preds its clan's demons and goes on from there.
Story begins in modern day with our protagonist wanting out of the ninja clan to be with his gf. promised by current ninja master he can after one last job. he gets there and the target has been Predator'd. Ninja master is actually okay with this, wants to capture one or both of them to learn their ultimate demon ninja techniques. Protag leaves, gets with gf, but then yakuza punks attack and gf gets killed. Protag learns ninja master was behind the yakuza. Swears revenge.
Then the Predators just do what they do. Ends with ninja clan destroyed and a shit ton of dead yakuza.
There would be two preds, named Red and Blue. Red is Strength build Pred that is more aggressive, Blue is no slouch but kind of a runt compared to Red, and he loves him some traps and keikakus. They're brothers and I can't decide if it'd be cool or not to have Blue get captured, and then our ex-Ninja hero and Red raid the ninja fortress together, and it all ends with mutual respect and all that bullshit.

Maybe have it that Red's aggression leads him into a trap, maybe they're part of the clan that visited centuries before and either the yakuza or the ninja clan have a relic that Red and Blue are there for, only to leave it with the Good Ninja as a sign of respect.
Whether or not Good Ninja leaves the life or restarts the clan could be ambiguous.
Grendel vs Predator.
Grendel has the best crossovers.
I'd like a kind of gothic horror predator story, where the predator is barely seen and is genuinely frightening rather than an alien badass. Getting across an eerie sense that it's a creature which isn't supposed to be on Earth.

But consider this: In AvP 2: Requiem there's a single yautja who sees that something went to shit on Earth. And flies off to Earth without asking or telling anyone. IIRC, you could see little of a city.
The obvious conclusion is that yautjas has fast FTL, something that humans in the Alien-films still hasn't discovered.
The other conclusion is that the yautja society is complex. Hunting humans, xenomorphs and other beings is a regulated activity. Someone has to be the mop-up crew when things go wrong. The only fault is that it was an one-man mop-up crew. They should've at least sent some 30-50.

Oh, recalls one of the comics I've read as a kid. It's the one where some colonist planet with rynth cattle gets seeded with xenomorphs. One character is infected and is offered a mercy-kill by one of the hunters. He refers to the yautja as a he, then asks himself why he assumed it was a he, what does he know?
So the yautjas could have the females as hunters or they could have an extreme low sexual dimorphism.

What we need is a Predator fompendium with basic guidelines about the Predators. We know their hunting rules, we know about Bad Bloods, we know they have distinct clans, they have law enforcement, and elders and Super Predators. We also know they have a history with both the xenomorphs and the Engineers in addition to humanity and that they love trophies. But that's about it.
We need more. Maybe some humans get kidknapped to fight, gladiator style, until the winner is chosen as the best prey for a hunt?

Predators was originally going to be closer to that, but they watered it down immensely for the sake of making it a sort of pseudo-remake.

I think he means Grendel as in Hunter Rose, and not Beowulf's Grendel.
They'd fight each other. Grendel is one of the few people that actually has a good chance against a Predator, since his normal opponent is a berserk werewolf who has been alive for hundreds of years and is a skilled detective/investigator.
