>>

>>
i watched it all the time after school in the 90s and loved it

rewatched it recently all on netflix and there's a few eps I still liked but overall it doesn't hold up well

Most people greatly preferred the Garfield segments to the U.S.Acres segments.

U.S.Acres had the best ending a newspaper strip could possibly have.
>>
I remember hating the friends part of the show.
>>
>>81178381
I only liked the Garfield parts. I hated the farm shit.

I have no idea why they gave Nermal a girl's voice and longer eyelashes. Convincing the audience that he was male was already an uphill battle.
>>
>>81178601
Funny. I greatly preferred the US Acres segments. I still remember most of the characters. The only one I never liked was the female sheep and she was supposed to be a bitch.

I loved how Wade's duck floater always matched his expression.
>>
>>81178744
for years I thought Nermal was a guy
>>
>>81178744
Nermal was your first exposure to a trap as a child.

Orson actually used to have eyelashes in the comic.
>>
Fucking clever writing, some real heartwarming messages from time to time (usually in US acres) yet with enough wit to savagely lampoon other sappier cartoons using the Buddy Bears
craptastic art and occasionally stupid basic cartoon plots.. basically shows its budget
>>
>>81178381
Ai! Ai!
>>
>>81178381
I do. I don't get the hate for U.S. Acres. Yeah, it was a less popular comic strip that was basically just piggybacking on Garfield for a spot on TV. But it could be pretty good too. Roy was my favorite character in the show.
>>
It was a pretty great show, and Lorenzo Music will always be the objective best voice of Garfield.

Falso. Lorenzo Music se oye cansado y aburrido haciendo de Garfield
>>
>>81180543

Garfield is meant to be tired and lethargic sounding, and Lorenzo nailed it perfectly. Not to mention his singing voice as great.
>>
>>81180665
it baffles me that it took us so long to have frank welker replace him after he died. his impression is pretty fucking spot on, and he was already on the old show
>>
>>81180935

Eh, it's not bad. But it's hardly spot on. Lorenzo was like Tony Jay, his voice can't be copied 100%.

Garfield and Friends is my favorite cartoon of all time. The true genius behind it was Mark Evanier, who basically wrote each and every episode of it:

Does it even matter? Has there been anything Garfiled-related worth watching in years? The last thing I watched was the first 20 minutes of Garfield Gets Real and it was horrible.

I find it amusing that Bill Murray took over the role for Lorenzo Music in the Garfield movie, while Lorenzo voiced Bill's character in the Ghostbusters cartoon.
>>
>>81178381
I do, not much of the show though, just that it aired before my favorite Saturday program

Funny enough, in the LatAm dub, Nermal IS a girl
>>

I've heard a rumor that that Bill Murray took the role specifically because guy got on his bad side.

The one episode I remember the most is the Rashomon-styled one about the yogurt filling the house.

Otherwise, it was a pretty comfy show.

I wanted to plow my cock in the sheep brother and sister

Fun fact: US Acres was Jim Davis' favorite work of his and the only thing he ever did out of genuine love for the craft and not just money. He actually demanded that it appear in the cartoon alongside Garfield or else he wouldn't license Garfield at all because he wanted his real passion project to get more exposure.
>>
Really enjoyed it. Used to have DVDs of it, but I'm pretty sure I lost them.
>>
>>81178381
When it's good, it's great.
Can't find the disks for it anymore.
>>
>>81178381
It was really good. I liked Garfield more than U.S.Acres, but that chapter when they try to find something Wade isn't afraid of was solid gold.

Jim's looking a little old these days. Apparently still loves the strip and wants to keep it going until he dies.
>>
>>81189620
Still looks happy as a clam in every picture.
>>
>>81184034
I think he said that he took the role because he mistook the director for someone else.

Same here. I liked Roy.

The "friends" part was garbage 95% of the time. It's a good thing I don't have that problem after I took them to see Garfield in a theater.
