10 minutes, who hype
>>
Looking for a stream?
Any suggestions?
>>
>>81156816
Wait, earth is destroyed?
What the actual fuck?
>>
>80's episode
>No Shredder, Bebop, or Rocksteady

Well at least Krangs there.
>>
>>81157117
End of season 3 that happened
>>
>>81157130
I'm more disappointed by it being 30 minutes long and (assuming) only the 80s meet up

Last time they did this, they even met up with the comic book versions
>>
>>81157163
I'd say that was more of a TMNT 2003 special though.
>>
I didn't know CGI put like 100 more pounds on Krang's mech body. thing looks fat as fuck.
>>
>>81157197
It was part of the TMNT 2003 series so ya
But I mean, I felt like they included "every" turtles back then and was a 90 minute special.
I'd like to see them all meet up again.

Also, if they're in the past, does that mean they'll meet up with their past selves?
>>
>>81157231

Any DLs For the Episode yet?
>>
>>81157287
It's airing right now on Nick so I wouldn't think so

The Archie turtles were the best.
>>
ehh, I think 80's Don just can't do the voice well anymore since he's old.
>>
Dude, Technodrome.
>>
>>81157349
What you think of the art style look?

I think they did great making the 80s into 3D

the modern looks good in 2D, but i think it's easy turning 3D into 2D
>>
whoa i haven't watched this in forever did splinter fucking die
>>
>>81157405
Splinter and Shredder temporarily teamed up so they can save Earth by destroying some black hole detonator thingie

As splinter ran to defuse it, Shredder killed him from behind, thus also destroying Earth. Which doesnt bother Shredder because he achieved his goal of killing Splinter
>>
>>81157405
Everyone except the turtles, casey and april died.
>>
>>81157390
I think they did a good job too, the only real nitpick I have is probably with Krang's body. I think it looks a little too fat. Also his torso where Krang is held has to much extra room. It was always mostly just enough room to fit him, but in CGI he has a lot more elbow room for some reason.
>>
>>81157449
>>81157441
holy fuck

is the show good again or we still barn style
>>
>>81157441
>>81157449
holy shit, that's pretty fucking dark for a nicktoons show
>>
>>81157441
But I guess that may be a moot point because the Turtles, Casey and April traveled back in time to 6 months prior with the Fugitoid
>>
Are we going to get to see big titted 80s April again?
>>
TURTLE PRIME
>>
>>81157163
Wow, I was wrong
they went to turtle prme
>>
Oh wow, they actually went to the Mirage comic book dimension

Huh, didn't think that team up happened before the Manhatton Project. Also did Tiger Claw kill 80's turtles then? Hope not.
>>
That was way better than the last crossover.
>>
>>81157597
I disagree, but this was still good
>>
So do they remember the last crossover event or did this take place before that?

I got in late, I missed half of it.

>>81157155
I haven't watched Nick Turtles since Return to NY.
What did I miss?
Do I need to catch up if I want to check out the crossover special?
>>
>>81157651
I dont think they ever specifically referenced the last crossover, which I guess the 80's turtles should've been like "Aw man, turtle prime again?"
>>
good episode
very fast paced tho
i like how they pretty much revealed 80s krangs origin
>>
>>81157692
>I dont think they ever specifically referenced the last crossover,
Only thing was when Raph rip of 87 turtles like 03 did.

Why was the animation so terrible?
>>
So it was a watered down, 1/4th as long Turtles Forever.

Well, at least it was a Hell of alot more respectful to the 80s cast this time.
>>
>>81157756
Had a lot to cover in a 22 minute episode
>>
Did we get to see the Mirage turtles?
>>
>>81157756

More like retconned.

Some of that 2D animation was rough, though. You can tell the studio is used to doing CG.
>>
Did they get the original 80's cast to voice the 80's Ninja Turtles?
>>
>>81157834
Yes.

They conveniently didn't speak though.
>>
>>81157805
>Hell of alot more respectful to the 80s cast this time.
By a small margin. They were made fun of the whole time. Kraang treated Krang the was 03 Shredder treated 87 Shredder.
>>
>>81157859
I'm assuming they were only seen in the 2D "hand drawn syle?" Anybody got pics of them?
>>
>>81157839
there were a little hiccups in that 2D animation but it did look a little like the 80s show also the old music was a good touch
>>
>>81157889
At least he was a genuine threat who wanted to blow up the multiverse. And to be fair Kraang sub prime isn't really any better
>>
the megan fox snap with gilbert gottfried krang was funny
>>
>>81157972
>Gilbert Gottfried

How did I not notice this until now.

I thought it was the guy who did the parrot from Aladdin.
>>
>>81158036
That was also Gilbert Gottfried.
>>
>>81157961
>At least he was a genuine threat who wanted to blow up the multiverse.
What threat? He juts put bombs in three dimensions in the most obvious places. He should've focused on Prime instead of screwing around. If he did that then none of the other turtles would know.
>>
>>81156816
The last scene in the episode didn't make any sense.
>>
>>81157907
>I'm assuming they were only seen in the 2D "hand drawn style?" Anybody got pics of them?
they were just cutouts that moved. No speech bubbles or any real interaction.
>>
>>81158154
They've weakened the barriers between dimensions so now dimension X is beginning to leak out into the multiverse.
>>
>>81158154

You need to see a season 2 two-parter called 'Wormquake'. It was originally the ending to that.
>>
There's a crappy rip up:

>the Nick TMNT series does the same exact thing

>>
>>81160236
The difference is the 2012 series remembered the 80s Turtles still had distinct personalities instead just being "four Mikeys."
>>
Who's ready for part 2?
>>
Captain Ryan? Are they having another bootleg Star Trek season?
>>
I like the idea of how they used the prime turtles and the comic book world but it didn't look good enough to me. Forever did it better, granted they had more time and money.
>>
>>81160309

You also forget, they actually fought in this one unlike the Forever ones where they did next to nothing and cowered off like retards.
>>
>>81157473
We left the filler barn episodes long ago.

If that was when you dropped you have missed:
>Slash coming back and making the Mighty Mutanimals with Leatherhead and other old mutants.
>The Mutanimals and the Turtles saving New York and banishing the Krang.
>Renet shows up, leads to a pretty good episode in japan and we see how Splinter's wife dies and everything.
>Triceratons shows up, try to blow up the earth to eliminate all krang with black hole generator.
>What previous anon said happens.
>the Turtles, April and Casey are saved by the fugitoid, who is played by David Tennant, who uses timey wimey powers to go back months before the triceratons attacked and got the black hole thingy.
>Currently they are trying to find the pieces before them in space, we have seen a cool new version of Lord Dregg from the ol 80s Red Sky episodes, Mona Lisa and Armagonn played by Ron F-ing Pearlman.
>>
>>81160236
At least in this one they actually fought, which is a plus.
>>
i dont get it if 80s krang came from the 2012 dimension X how does it explain how he was a ruler in it?
>>
The motion tweening in the 80s dimension was absolute trash
>>
>>81156816
I have literally no idea what was going on in this episode but it was funny as fuck.
>>
>>81162061

>>81158036
anon....
>>
>>81162061
>i dont get it if 80s krang came from the 2012 dimension X how does it explain how he was a ruler in it?

Not to mention that in the old cartoon Krang mentioned a few times that he used to have a body. General Tragg almost didn't recognize him at first.

It's a lame, lazy tie-in but it doesn't really affect anything so I don't care all that much.
>>
One thing I noticed in the first scene we see 2D Krang he was animated so fucking badly, like his mouth was like wide open as he talked for some reason. Then later times he was animated decently. It seems the animators of this show struggle with doing 2D animation though.
>>
What Technodrome was this? The outside looked like the 2D 80s one but the inside was 3D from the current series.
>>
>>81158154
Well this episode played out in the past, before earth was destroyed, the worm got to that dimension during the episode wormquake, i think thats season 2.

which means that this episode plays out during wormquake, conveniently not during any of the earthquakes.
>>
>>81163723
How did Tiger Claw get back home I wonder
>>
>>81163774
He probably stole that dimension opening device from the 80's turtles during their fight,

>Krang mentioned a few times that he used to have a body. General Tragg almost didn't recognize him at first.
Later in, like, season 4 or 5, we see Utroms helping Krang in a flashback.

So obviously, he's suppose to look the way he does BUT at one point, he had the body of a warlord (Kevin Eastman even designed a toy for this).

So, my theory (to make this work) is that he was first an Utrom, then got a body and then lost that body.

Don't think you need to catch up much.

> Triceratrons show up on earth.
> They're enemies of the Krang, the races fought each other to a stand-still.
> Krang fucking panic when they see a Triceratron.
> Turtles find one wandering the sewers on earth, same situation as the 2003 cartoon, oxygen messes with their heads.
> Long story short, Triceratron soldier signals his fleet when he regains his sanity.
> Fleet decides that the only way to be sure to kill the Krang for good is to just suck them all into a black-hole.
> Splinter decides that the threat is great enough to try and convince Shredder for help.
> The two join forces for the time to stop the black hole superweapon.
> LAST GOD DAMN SECOND Shredder kills splinter. Tigerclaw calls bullshit, and earth is destroyed.
> The fugitoid shows up and whisks the turtles away, the Utrom called him in for back-up.
> Honeycutt is voiced by one of The Doctors, have fun with that.
> They go back 6 months before the Triceratrons, but travel the galaxy to make sure the black-hole weapon isn't completed.
> That's what season 4 is mostly about.

Yeah, the Turtles forever eighties turtles were complete retards.
This one portrait them as zany but mostly competent, which is spot on.

It actually treated the 87 Turtles with more respect than that 09 movie ever did. That movie was only made to make the 87 turtles look like comical cowards that were not capable of accomplishing anything. They mostly got captured or ran away and hid from every threat.

and as for Karai? well she's been am absolute beast since her inception

>It actually treated the 87 Turtles with more respect than that 09 movie ever did.

Given that this series has been nothing but 80s show masturbation Im not surprised

fuck the 80s show. We can't get anything with TMNT in it these days without people either comparing it or bitching about Bebop and Rocksteady because of it. 80s Turtle fags are the literal worst
>>
Why do all turtle iterations become so dumb whenever they crossover with each other?

People keep saying the 80s turtles are treated better here, but were they really? In both this and Forever, they never really "earn" the respect of their alternate counterparts; 2k3 and Nick turtles really just wave them off with no hard feelings and that's it.

I also don't get why the 80s keep writing them as autistic slackers whenever they aren't in the fight. I'm no fan their show, but throughout the whole series they would get annoyed at people who can't get their priorities straight be it Casey Jones, Shredder, Michaelangelo, or citizens they're protecting.

And why are Mirage turtles always depicted as bloodthirsty attack-on-sight savages?
>>
so what happens in the finale when the turtles beat the triceradons?

will the current space turtles just vanish out of existence? this would be weird, especially for future eps if they want to use a space character and the past turtles have no idea who they are.

will the past turtles get killed off and be replaced by the space turtles? i dont think they would do that.

will they some how merge the past turtles with the space turtles? this would probably be the safest option.

im more interested in the finale then the space shenanigans. it just all feels like filler until then for me.
>>
>>81182086
Mirage Turtles really were a bunch of dicks but the whole original comic really was lots of edge with more edge on top of the edge. Everyone was always striking a dramatic pose or killing something in almost every panel.
>>
>>81182086
>And why are Mirage turtles always depicted as bloodthirsty attack-on-sight savages?

Because the writers only read the first two issues. Same reason the turtles are always gritting their teeth and have that sharp edgy look before eventually rounding out in the next issues.
>>
>>81182330

The 80's show was clever, acknowledged it's limitations, and had a sense of humor about itself. The first season of the 80's show is better than any other incarnations.

>are they ripping off turtles forever now?

Basically. It pretty much follows the same story beats.
>Meeting the FW Turtles
>Fight scene displaying the lameness of them
>Portal device showing off the implausible science of their world
>FW Turtles trying to get pizza in the open
>Villain has a plot to destroy the multiverse
>A heartfelt visit to Splinter
>A trap that leads to the Technodrome
>Villain attempts to destory the prime reality in order to wipe out all of reality
>A brief visit to the prime reality where the Prime Turtles try to kill the cartoon turtles

It's pretty much the same.
>>
I'm mad that the 80's turtles didn't know what the primary ninja turtles world was. I was hoping that there would have been some sort of continuity with the other crossover they had. Mad that there was no shredder. I know his voice actor died but still...
>>
I liked the little cheeky things they did, like 80s Raph ripping on current Donnie's voice.
>>
>>81186009
Maybe this is meant to happen first and the reason they were more cowardly in Forever is whatever Tiger Claw did to them.
>>
>>81168281
Nah, it was hinted in Turtles Forever that the prime turtles actually like the 80's turtles.
>>
>>81178189
>Then when they went to the 87 world it was monster ice cream attacking April for no reason.
To be fair, the mid seasons NOT written by David Wise were that stupid.

Fred Wolf helped ruin the Turtles and Peter Laird and TMNT Forever were able to showcase that.

Of course the first four seasons and the later seasons of the Fred Wolf show are fucking amazing and a lot of episodes are dark as shit.

Shit all of this has really peaked my interest in TMNT again.

Is it worth starting from the season 1 anons?
>>
>>81193965
I actually have only seen 2 seasons of the Nick show but they're pretty good for a kids' series. Especially since this show is one of the rare boys' action series that's still going.
Then again, this is the first TMNT series I've really had an interest in.
Finally, this was made by the same guy who did the original Teen Titans series and it shows.
>>
>>81169710
>will they crossover with the 2003 series?

If they do, they'll have to recast all the 4Kids Turtles.

4Kids used non-union VAs, which was why they couldn't get the original 80s VAs back for Turtles Forever (they're union).

So it's the same situation all over again.
>>
>>81194165
I see, interesting that there are not a lot of action cartoons now. It's mostly nicey nicey alternate stuff. Though to do like some to be fair.

They retconned Krang into being an Utrom?

In the 87 cartoon, they established that his original Dimension X body looked like this until he had his brain banished to Earth as punishment.
>>
>>81181998
TMNT wouldn't even be around today if not for the 80s show.

It's weird they went with KMR as 87 Shredder and not Jim Cummings who did voice Shredder and sound the most like James Avery.

oh well.

cool Barry and Cam are Bebop and Rocksteady again.
>>
>>81194260
I know 03 Leo and Donny went union

Wayne Grayson and Greg Abbey still voice act but there isn't much going on in New York right now, outside of Pokemon.

before. since the ending proves that the crossovers are non linear.

the ending with the work creature takes place earlier in the 2002 season during an episode called wormquake.

this just implies that wormquake happened no more than 6 months in the past of the current show, since time travel shenanigans are currently going on.
>>
>>81194728

They also retconned the 1987 Dimension X and the 2012 Dimension X into being the same Dimension X.

Which doesn't make any sense, considering what we've seen.

This is a case of "have fun, don't think about it".
>>
>>81157840
yup
>>
>>81198883
actually tiger claw said he spent months and months fighting across dimension after dimension to get back to the 2k13 turtles dimension. meaning that time in the 80's turtles dimension is flowing at a vastly different rate if at all. and after the turtles arrived on turtle prime in turtles forever the prime turtles jumped out from behind the smokestack and attacked the turtles, this episode shows why.
and the ending also with worm quake showing up means hat dimensional travel also allows for time hopping since the nick turtles were from after the return of tiger claws dimensional trip.
>>
>>81199173
Yeah this. The notion that time flows differently in other dimensions has already been established when Mikey was mlgpro in dimension X.
>>
>>81157961
