It's been years since I've seen it, but I used to love it a ton. Last time I re-watched it, I remember being a little turned off by how much of a dick everyone was, but that's the general consensus.
It had an interesting concept, but it just didn't hit it out of the ball park. I like how stylized the movie was though, I wish they could have done more with that.
Plot wise, It could have been streamlined and refined; I mean, now it reminds me of Zootopia, and I just want to see this movie like that.
I heard it had some production problems though, like it was pretty late in the game that they made Chicken Little into a guy; Like, they were already doing 3D Test animations with her and then revamped everything.

IT WAS A CUP OF GOOOD INTENTIOOONS
It has a TON of filler. It's barely 70 minutes if you don't count the extended "movie" scene at the end. Nothing really happens for half that runtime because of constant "fun" scenes that have nothing to do with building characters or plot. The nonfiller stuff is actually quite good but it's not enough for a feature, best case would have been if Disney attempted a modern package feature of reimagined fables and this was one of 3 half-hour segments.
I don't get why everyone had to be such an ass-hole though.Why was everyone in the town such an ass?

I used to kind of like watching it when I was younger, but it also made me uncomfortable.
Later I realized it was because their whole world was unpleasant and filled with shallow jerks. Also the bully getting mindraped was supposed to be a good thing. I always hated that.
