That's not going to happen, but I foresee two possible outcomes.
1. They follow the Iron-Man plan and distill and focus Carol into being a good character. All of her baggage from the comics is lost and forgotten, and is remade a new, more interesting character.

I like how casual it is with the character powers.
They aren't really making a huge deal that a guy that can manifest fire, a crocodile-man hybrid, and an ancient evil spirit possessed witch are all on a team with a guy that throws exploding boomerangs.
So in that aspect, I hope both Marvel and DC stop getting hung up on power explanations and just let the characters exist in the world without having to give a lengthy introduction to them. Sometimes it's fine to just bring in a guy to shoot fire from his eyeballs. You don't need to waste time explaining where he got his powers from.

And aside from that, most of these reviews have been utterly worthless. I've been reading them since this afternoon, and the thing I notice most often is that these people seem to have gone in expecting it to be just like Marvel.
