Looking back, season 2 wasn't all that good. They should have taken a longer hiatus between seasons to fill up with their MOJO and bounce better ideas around, and to polish up the rough good ideas they went with. Glad season 3 is taking its time, I bet it will be great.

I dunno, I quite enjoyed Season 2. Total Rickall and The Ricks Must Be Crazy are among my favourite episodes of the show. Interdimensional Cable 2 was pretty meh, though.

The purge episode is more like season one than alot of those other season 2 episodes.
I mean look at some of the first season 1 episodes. They are straight up parodies of movies.
Lawnmower dog is inception and nightmare on elm. Anatomy park is fantastic voyage.
People don't like this episode because of the furrys and for some reason animal people are seen as furry shit.

I liked the Purge episode fine, but mainly because it came after a one-two combo of Cable 2 and Tiny Rick, and the putrid stench of Get Schwifty still lingered in the air, so I was just glad to see a solid episode.
Although constantly pointing out "This is just like that movie The Purge, you guys" didn't make it any less lame that they're cribbing The Purge.

For me it just didn't really feel like it had many great jokes. Still enjoyable, but just not as much as other episodes. The whole bit with them dealing with the Purge before getting their robot suits was pretty great though.
