I don't know. I went off to do some IRL stuff, came back, and the thread 404s also Foolz fucked up and didn't archive everything from it.

I wish janitors would ask before deleting stuff or at least provide some explanation for it especially if it's not breaking any rules.

As I was going to say earlier, Lisa was shit even in the Ullman shorts.
>>
>>80977247
she was basically just girl Bart, right?
>>
>>80977259
>>80977247
She was more of girl Bart in the Ullman shorts, but when the regular series started the writers and especially James L. Brooks decided she needed a more distinct personality.
>>
https://desustorage.org/co/thread/80973874/#q80974768

Homer also fainted after Lisa rejected the $12,000,000 from Mr Burns, which I thought was equally as bad. Did Homer want Lisa's money for himself? Did he think Lisa would be willing to help provide for the family? If Lisa accepted the money, I would assume it would be in a trust fund until Lisa became an adult. Then she could've easily donated the money to whatever charity she chooses. But since she rejected the money, her loss is Mr. Burns's gain.
>>
Too idealistic, isn't she? But is that bad?
>>
>>80977356
The last scene when Homer was in the hospital, he thought Lisa refused only $12,000 until Lisa corrects him (although we don't hear Lisa's correction). Then the emergency care Homer requires is more intensified.

I pretty much can't decide what character I hate more in this climax.
>>
>worst as in over the top and out of character
Little Big Mom. Seriously, making Bart and Homer think they have leprosy was so excessive that it's impossible to take the episode seriously.
>worst as in doing the meanest thing ever
Lisa's Rival. Sabotaging Allison's diorama was really low and her jealousy was also of the worst kind.
>worst as on a personal emotional level
The loss of Bleeding Gums Murphy -> best portrayal of mourning in the show
>>
Every episode where she appears for more than five seconds. Except for Bye Bye Nerdie and the dodgeball scene in Moaning Lisa, of course.

Seriously, I'm going with On A Clear Day I Can't See My Sister and Lisa The Skeptic.
>>
>>80977537
What's wrong with Bye Bye Nerdie?
>>
Torturing a hamster (and her brother) with electroshocks in Duffless.
>>
Space Rocket Guard: "Now, before you enter, you're going to have to make a very difficult choice. You're only allowed to take one parent with you..."
Lisa: Mom!

I don't care that it's from a THOH episode, I hate that moment and it's done and said in a way that could easily have placed it into an regular episode.
>>
anyway, her worst moments? probably lisa the skeptic, they really tore her character down with that.
sure she's been going downhill ever since, but that's what started it.
>>
One thing about Lisa's worst moment in "On a clear day I can't see my sister"
is the use of the wooden poles. If I was Bart, I would've taken the pole and beaten Lisa with them until she ended up in the hospital. That would probably be legal because in the real world, the way restraining orders work is that whoever obtains them must also keep the same distance. They cannot tell the other person to move a distance. Lisa would not be allowed to push Bart with the pole in order to keep the distance. The only way Lisa's pole would work legally is if the pole touched Bart, Lisa cannot proceed.

I know all this because a few weeks before this episode first aired, a relative in my family got a restraining order against another member of my family but this one was declared unlawful by the court plus a third member of my family managed to get the person who got the restraining order arrested and kicked out of the place of the residence and therefore cannot ever return to the place.

Therefore I had recently found out how more information on how this stuff works.
>>
>>80977751
That's very heartbreaking. How did Homer react?
>>
>>80977644
It was actually an experiment for the science fair to see who was smarter after an experiment, the hamster or Bart as payback for him destroying her tomater.
>>
>>80977868
"That'll learn him to bust my tomater."

I love Yeardley's reading on this line.
>>
>>80977868
It was still totally fucked up.
>>
>>80977888
Yes and on the DVD commentary, they said they didn't really want to include the electroshock thing in the script because it seemed too sadistic, but they decided it was too important to the plot to leave out.
>>
Lisa getting Homer kicked out of the Stonecutters
Lisa getting Homer's show canceled in Today I Am A Klown

Society doesn't want your ideas!!! Understand that already, you whore!
>>
>>80978005
Lisa didn't quite get Homer kicked out of the Stonecutters. Homer asked for some advice from her and he was stupid enough to follow Lisa's advice.
>>
I think Lisa is a good character, but she has had some lousy moments. One I'd probably say is faking her own death. I mean, it was an accident at first, but then she continued to do so - it just doesn't seem like Lisa to me.
>>
for me, lisa's worst moments are when she doesn't act her age, especially in post-classic era.

i mean what the fuck? she's a 2nd grader for god's sake. kids that age don't even know they have private parts unless they were raised by extreme Christfags or something.
>>
>>80978121
Do you enjoy being autistic on an imageboard, anon
>>
>>80978121
Apparently Lisa changed her clothes with Homer and Bart right there in the living room in In Marge We Trust although it was off screen.
>>
>>80978121
i agree. she didn't even the towel in that scene at all.
>>
>>80978121
>kids that age don't even know they have private parts unless they were raised by extreme Christfags

You are mistaken. A normal American second grader might still bathe with younger siblings in the presence of their parents, but they would normally not go outside naked. They would certainly be aware of the concept of nudity.
>>
>>80978121
>kids that age don't even know they have private parts unless they were raised by extreme Christfags or something.
Not really, its pretty damn common to see your parents or brothers naked at least once in your life, specially when you're really young, children may know the difference, hell they may know where babies come from, but they won't know that much beyond that, the whole "my 10 year old son needs to have the talk" thing is mostly an american thing because of the culture
>>
>>80978623
>A normal American second grader

>American
See, there's the problem. In Murka they thought that seeing one pasty-covered nipple in the Super Bowl was going to get them blasted down to Hell by their sky buddy.

And I am personally grateful that Europe dumped all its religious extremists onto another continent safely far away from here.
>>
>>80978653
That's not what I meant at all, but thanks for trying anyway.
>>
>>80978623
>>80978121
It's more a case of the writers forgetting the kids' true ages (they do this a lot).
>>
>>80978121
I hear you, man. My cousin was raised by parents who seemed to think that anything other than eating, sleeping, doing chores, and going to church was a sin.
