Honestly the only thing I think Matt's lacking on the show is a bit more of the swashbuckler attitude. You need that in there to contrast against his horrible depressive spirals.
Also, I really regret that the show doesn't keep the Matt/Foggy courtroom dynamic, where Foggy is terrible at actually talking to a jury but has an encyclopedic knowledge of the law while Matt is a smooth and charismatic speaker but doesn't have the same depth of legal knowledge. I always liked the way their skills complimented each other, filling in the other's weaknesses.

It got a little weaker once the Sons of the Serpent stuff started, then it picked up again after the move to San Francisco, then it dropped again with the stuff involving The Shroud and The Owl's daughter, then it picked up again and had a decent finish when Kingpin showed up.

Yeah, and I liked his joyful grin after stopping those thieves at the beginning of S2E1. Still, I'd like to see more moments of Daredevil enjoying himself, before it all goes to shit. He shouldn't be Spider-Man levels of jokey, but a little bit of humor while he's in the costume wouldn't be amiss.
That was one thing I really loved about Waid's run, that he nailed a bunch of little quirks that made Matt's character feel more vibrant. Like the fact that Matt is a huge autophile and loves the sound, feel, and aesthetics of nice cars, but can't drive worth shit. Or the fact that he's a connoisseur of fine foods, wines, clothes, etc, not purely out of taste but because his super senses make it impossible for him to ignore the imperfections of junk food or scratchy clothes or what have you. Or when he dicked around with Captain America just because he wanted to feel the balance of cap's shield. "Like handling a Stradivarius! Highlight of my night!" I loved stuff like that.

I get what you're saying, but that's also super contextual in the show. It'd be nice to have some moments where we get to see Matt be a little more roguish/swashbuckly, just so we have more idea of the joy he takes in being a superhero than just a creepy grin before he starts thrashing people.
Besides, I'd like to see the show get to a point where Matt and Foggy come to terms with their arrangement, and we can see Matt having a ball as Daredevil and Foggy being okay with it (more or less). Things would go in the crapper soon enough, of course, but that's the whole point of a status quo in comics. It's there to be the baseline, and then get disrupted by new threats.

Once you've finished Miller's run (read his actual run which is collected in Daredevil Visionaries as well as Man Without Fear and Born Again) Read the Bendis and Brubaker runs. They aren't as good but are certainly worth a read. If you want more Elektra read Elektra: Assassin, it focuses more on ninja powers and general craziness but has killer art.
I've heard good things about Nocenti's run but haven't read it

Personal opinion, it's weird and I don't entirely get why it's so highly praised. It has good ideas, and some of them are even executed pretty well like Typhoid Mary stuff, but woman needed some goddamn focus. I think she really liked writing about demon shit after Inferno crossover and went nuts. In my wildest dreams I've never even imagined that Matt would team up with Inhumans, fight Ultron and go to Mephisto's domain to be saved by Deus Ex Surfer.

Points to Nocenti for being the only person to ever make Mephisto frightening.
The thing that everyone's gotta remember is that Nocenti is at her best when she's out of her mind. This is the woman who created Spiral and Mojo. This is why her greatest contribution to the Daredevil mythos is Typhoid Mary. She's good at crazy.
She wants to write insane scenarios with bizarre, nightmarish villains. When she doesn't do that, you end up with things like her Green Arrow.

That scene is the culmination of a long chase where the masked guy has been handing DD his ass. Matt believes that the guy has the same abilities he does - enhanced senses due to blindness - so when the sprinklers go off, he's hoping it levels the playing field. That line isn't supposed to be helping Matt, it's letting him know his assumptions were wrong - his nemesis CAN see, and consequently, is about to beat him stupid.

Anything Frank Miller did was basically golden, and the new 2015 comic where his costume is black is actually pretty fresh and cool as well. In between that I just kinda enjoy them, but not as much. Still, Daredevil is probably one of my top 5 favorite comic books.
And maybe my favorite. Too bad they fucked it up later with Shadowland.
