What is your ideal street level power if you were to possess a street level power?

Omnipotence.

Heightened reflexes all day err day

durability. I want to get into the brawls

Healing factor
>>
Killing my foes in one punch
>>
>>80942061
everyone know that dick taste like snozzberries
>>
Murder. Can't go wrong with murder. Best possibly power to have. You can murder that stubborn jar of pickles that refuses to open.
>>
Phasing, literally nobody can touch me and no prison can hold me.
>>
Amateur magic. Solving mystical mysteries and exercising ghoulies sounds way more fun than getting into street brawls with c-list villains.
>>
What kind of superpower would get me laid all the time? Whatever that is, I'd take it.
>>
>>80942187

yeah but what if someone shoots you in the back.

Id rather have invulnerability. Better defense against sneak attacks
>>
>>80942252
Rohypnol.
>>
>>80942222

define amateur.

also, checked.
>>
>>80942285
We should team up and rule these streets.
>>
>>80942288
Raping a partner who's passed out isn't what I had in mind
>>
>>80942285
Invulnerability will suck when you are in desperate needs of surgery and the surgeons are unable to cut you open to do what must be done. You invulnerability will also prevent the radiation from killing your potential cancer cells.
>>
>>80942362

It's just street level invulnerability. That's not nearly on the same level as other kinds of invulnerability.
>>
photographic memory, like Tasky and Finesse
>>
Shrinking down in size

Downside: I don't expect that the street-level version of this power includes the Antman ability to maintain your normal strength
>>
>>80942252
if you don't care about being a date rapist, mind control
if you do, telepathy. You could scan a bar to see who's just there to get laid and then tell them exactly what they want to hear
>>
>>80940212
Plot armor or Deadpools quick regeneration so I can't die and can kick ass
>>
>>80942456

So shit like this happens
>>
>>80942318

Like, not Doctor Fate or Doctor Strange levels of magic, because then you end up fighting crazy incomprehensible evils from beyond the stars and shit. But like, being the owner of some quality grimoires and the knowledge of where to find some decent potion ingredients. A little under John Constantine levels. Just enough to deal with your usual neighbor hood hunting or to track down that goblin that's been raiding your neighbors trash.
>>
>>80940212
the power to level streets so they were perfectly flat
>>
>>80942330
You misunderstood, you're not the one giving the roofie. What I meant isYou spike your own drink and wear a shirt that says
>free rides
Guarantee that everyone one will be lining up.
>>
>>80942401
>street level invulnerability
Give me some parameters, I like this idea.
>>
>>80942252
It's called being attractive.
>>
>>80942133

This.
>>
>>80942447
Fuck Marvel for making that power give you autism. Why did they think that was a good idea?
>>
>>80942252
power where you can get hard for as long as you want, orgasm at any time on command and can control the amount of cum would probably allow you to be a high demand pornstar you would be getting laid all the time, throw in there STD immunity and you are greatest pornstar of all time
>>
>>80942566
Spidey has increased durability but still can get shot and shit

329 KB, 500x554
>>80942566
>>80942630

The obvious answer would be Luke Cage.
>>
>>80942456
As long as you can't go microscopic or anything the normal strength should still keep you street level
>>
>>80942566
It effectively means that you're invulnerable, but only to stuff you'd be likely to encounter as a street level hero. Guns? No problem. Tear/Knockout gas? Easy. Some punk ass ninja villain dual wielding katanas? A joke. A nuclear bomb? not so much.
>>
>>80942661
Luke has unbreakable skin including adamantium and shit, he has high tier durability
>>
Being Cap tier is pretty good. I mean you're not strong to the point you need to be afraid of destroying everything but enough abilities to make life a lot easier and more amazing.
>>
>>80942673

Alright then. I'll take that.

For the smallest, I was thinking quite literally the size of an ant. No ability to grow obviously.
>>
>>80942716
Yeah, like >>80942712 was saying, Street Level invulnerability.
>>
>>80942330
>Raping a partner who's passed out isn't what I had in mind
>partner
tumblr pls go
>>
>>80942766
Luke could survive a nuke. His skin can't be destroyed. Some AUs have him being able to be melted but he's run into burning buildings before and been fine in the comics
>>
>>80942514
That's pretty cute tier magic. Like low tier Harry Potter levels.
>>
>>80942716
>Luke has unbreakable skin including adamantium and shit,
Nope. Adamantium, adamantine, uru and the likes would cut Luke Cage open like butter.
>>
>>80942765

Although, on that note, a question. Strength doesn't necessarily mean durability.

As far as I can tell, my street level power would basically be Pym Particles, but only taking advantage of that shrinking capacity.

So if we assume that such a hero could keep his normal sized human strength and even be concentrated in that small size, on the off chance of sadistic girl does find you and steps on you, what would happen?
>>
>>80942830
>Luke could survive a nuke. His skin can't be destroyed.
Luke survived a nuke during the initial day but the exposure to the radiation and tanking the nuclear explosion severely injured him and ultimately killed him as a result.
>>
>>80942252
NZT from Limitless
>>
>>80942865

I'd like to keep my story comfy. The first few Harry Potter books would be ideal really. Not necessarily easy mode, as there would definitely be some life threatening stuff, but no "You have to fight this Cthulhu expie or everyone everywhere will be literally mind-raped for all of eternity." Like I said, I'll leave that shit to The big boys. Same as how all these other anons saying invulnerability or healing factors would still leave things like Darkseid to superman.

Shapeshifting, because realistically I would never be able to find a crime in time to stop it anyway- the world doesn't work like that. But at least I could be attractive and/or be a grill and have hot lesbian sex.
>>
>>80943142

That's just asking for some lucrative government agency to railroad you into spying on Russian supervillains. You gotta keep it interesting, or the story will make you interesting for you.

What if your street level power was to intuitively know when someone was doing something evil, and some strength and speed empowerment when in the presence of evil? Like Ghost Rider Lite?
>>
>>80942061
That's omniscience.

That being said, I could live with what you described.

Shadow Travel- Ability to travel through shadows by walking into them, can only travel through connected shadows(no teleportation).

If that's too strong, then shapeshifting(limited to organisms native to Earth if general shapeshifting is too OP).
>>
>>80943757

More like Captain Serious-face-straightman-to-your-sexy-anitcs-McGee will reluctantly give carte blanche just so long as you get the information he wants. But yeah, sexy bi-sexual Russian antics.
>>
>>80943752

Powers that could be used effectively at the street level, but would require author hand waving, years of munchkining experience, or a serious power up to work at levels any higher than on the street.
>>
>>80942830
>His skin can't be destroyed
that doesn't mean shit when your body gets squashed flat by the pressure wave and your lungs burst into flames with a single breath
>>
>>80943562

Depending on the semantics, animal morphing in general is pretty street level. The Animorphs were pretty street level due to their time limit and the speed at which they could morph.
>>
>>80943919
Only thing I can think of would be powers that have conditions that are extremely inhibiting.
Kiss of Death with no other power so someone with even above average human strength could restrain you with ease. Power could still kill the strongest of the strong, would need immense planning, deception, and charisma. Also once they know your face your ability to do it to targets unknowingly drops to almost 0.
>>
>>80942061
omnipotence isn't the same as omniscience
>>
super-expertise. kind of like taskmaster but a little more varied. watch kung fu masters, learn kung fu. watch gymnasts, learn gymnastics. read a medical text, become a doctor. etc.

my concern with these scenarios is that either I'm the only super, in which case once the government finds out I exist they're going to bring me in, or I'm NOT the only super in which case other metas are going to try to wreck my shit. this power lets me be incredibly skilled, successful, likely near the top of any field I'd want to be but still maintaining relative anonymity.

that, or the ability to shrink-wrap things with my mind.
>>
>>80944323

That sounds like Uber, from Worm. Or Victor, but he had to steal the skills from someone who had them for it to work.
>>
>>80942738
>have model-tier looks and fit as fuck body
>no need to work out because sci-fi serum

Only downside is that you'd have to guzzle a ton of the highest proof alcohol really fast just to get drunk.
>>
>>80943846
>shadow
but what defines a shadow?
its just a shape on a surface with less light than another.
During an eclipse, do you have infinite travel but only for a short bit?
a skyscraper creates a massive shadow, but all the ambient light means it's hard to see.
>>
>>80944376

Damn, I really wish there was more art of worm characters. There is literally nothing for Uber And Leet, or any of the E88 capes.
>>
Teleportation, but only to a place I can see. Like that one movie with the guy who can teleport anywhere with photos
>>
>>80942602
It kind of makes sense. You're retaining literally every movement you've ever seen. Something's gotta give.

So is it true like in the 21 jumpstreet movie that two strapping is the in thing and no one one straps anymore?
>>
>>80945389
How does that translate into social issues? If anything it should make you really good at reading facial expressions and body language. Taskmaster has never had issues socially he's just a dick.
It's a bad retcon. I can rattle off so many powers that should wreck you mentally but don't, super hearing, telepathy, perfect memory, high level genius. It's dumb.
>>

Super Computation for sure.
Crack RSA like nobody's business, open up bank accounts and get free money.
You could predict the future in a limited sense, as well - just compute the things that are happening faster than they're actually happening.
>>
>>80946577
My powers would stop working if I was dead though.
Also you could just hire me, I'd be a mercenary.
Or kidnapped and used by a criminal/government organization.

either gottagofast or superhuman reflexes and strenght ala Spiderman or Daredevil

Sound manipulation.
Either very fine control letting me mimic anyone's voice from across the street and letting me hear people whispering from afar, or heavy duty sound manipulation letting me crank up the bass to literal roof raising levels. Or just go Nikola Tesla on some asses and level a building given enough time and the right frequency.
>>

I'd be Kilgrave

>Can just walk up to muggers, drug dealers, kid beaters, kiddy-diddlers, animal abusers and everyone else and tell them to go to the police station to confess.

>Make people immediately tell me their deepest, darkest secrets or save them tons of money and time in therapy by telling me exactly why they act like shitheads, like with Jessica's nosy neighbor.

>Go to law school (if I could figure out a way to get accepted and attend college tuition-free, I would), become a lawyer, get elected as a judge, and make guilty people admit everything.

I'd have to become a make-up artist so my collars wouldn't track me down and try to kill me, or so to keep the government from abducting me and use me/replicate my powers. I mean, I'd be okay if they made me talk to Guantanamo detainees so they'd spill the beans sans the torture and loyalty so we could destroy Islamic State before dinnertime, but eventually they'd use me as a weapon in our penis contest with China and North Korea.
>>

Gonna have to go with healing. Would make you more or less immortal so you don't really have to worry about disease, aging, or death.

In the short term you could use your power to make big money doing dangerous jobs. Maybe extreme sports or one of those guys who jumps canyons on motorcycles. Once you have a good sum of money you can sit back and master other skills that can give you a comfortable lifestyle.

Empathy.

Basically the way I see it, would be like primal instincts. You could feel the feelings of animals and since it's a two way street, they can feel your feelings, allowing easier bonds and being able to communicate in a way.

This does not mean they will be friendly to you, you don't control them.

Higher tier training: You can start to sense empathic thoughts from other humans, might even have them projected onto you or you project yours onto them.

Further Training: Might be able to then 'feel' plant life and what they want.

God-Tier: Being able to focus on the feelings of all living things, being able to communicate at that instinctual way and thus being able to sense where someone or something organic might be.

At least this was an idea I had in mind for a character I thought up ages ago.

Honestly I'd prefer your standard flying brick set, or at least something that would allow me to leap really far and survive things that would kill the average joe. But, in lieu of directly copying Golden Age Superman or Spider-Man, I'll spring for "low-level" super speed and superhuman durability.

I just want to go full GTA and run into shit while calling myself the Human Bullet. Is that so bad?
