I think you read that scene all wrong. His point was that not only can his wife never make him happy again, she can never make him mad again or anything else, and that he's stuck in an emotional flatline without her so Karen should rethink kicking Matt out of her life while she has the chance.

Is it just me or did cinematography take a huge nosedive? Season 1 had a lot of great shots and despite lots of the scenes happening at night, they lit it smartly. Now I'm seeing a lot more flat shots, a lot of awkward cuts, and worst of all I'm constantly struggling to see what's happening in every night time scene.
Ehh he doesn't really come into his role as the Punisher until the end. I think throughout the season, he was still trying to figure out what he stood for. Once he got closure from ending General Eiling, he became stable and found out what he really wants to do with his life.
