I'm honestly neutral about her. It's an okay idea, but the decompression combined with dealing with the regular Marvel crossover bullshit turns me off.

Kamala is really cute, but she is also a good character who uses the Peter Parker archetype in a modern setting together with the extra problems that come from being part of a minority she doesn't really feel her own( be it the muslims or the inhumans).
Her book has great supporting cast and her adventure are pretty low stakes, which is very good for a beginner hero.
The humor in the book is very good(there are lot of visual gags in the background) and comes off as natural because Kamala's age is appropriate for that( as opposed to Hellcat).

From what I've seen (read a few story times, seen a lot of out-of-context pages), she's just another "generic school kid playing through the generic school kid drama script only they have super powers" and the whole thing whiffs of wish fulfillment and soap-boxing things that the author wanted to tell the popular kids at school when they were a kid, but they were too awkward and cowardly to ever do so.
At least when Peter Parker did it, it was self-deprecating. No one would say the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Peter Parket is that "he's cute."
