It's called not interfering with the people actually making the work.
The WB producer Leon Schlesinger knew nothing about cartoons and let the directors work without interference and we got some of the most memorable cartoons out of it and it was profitable.
And at least that Laika guy has experience animating, otherwise, just stay out of the creative people's work.

I have very mixed feelings about this. I agree, the animation industry in the west is completely fucked. Execs wants shitty writing and bad animation complete with a shit artstyle that wants to copy the awful Disney formula. But all of this falls apart since John K makes every mistake he always makes claims to about the industry and is equal if not worst than the people he constantly goes against.
