I really hate that trend with Netflix shows which is starting out strong but losing the steam up to the end. Why not make fewer episodes (like 10 or 9), cut the boring crap and increase the fight choreography budget (not that I complain of Daredevil's fight scenes, but they ain't flawless either)?

Either a 9/10 or a very strong 8/10 at the very least. The beginning was weak, and there was some weirdness with the Hand plot and the Frank plot not really gelling, but all the individual elements were pretty great for the most part. I absolutely love what they did with continuing all the character arcs from season 1, Karen and Ellison's subplot particularly, and most of the new stuff was really cool, particularly Frank who was excellent.

Some morons are criticizing this for being Nolanized. Motherfuckers, the problem with Nolanization in the late 00's was that EVERYTHING was being Nolanized. It's a fine to use it here and there. Making everything light and cheery is boring as well. Variety and matching the tone of the characters should be the priority, not comic accuracy.

Theres no overbearing thread like Fisk and nothing emotional. And you don't really know what to expect from it.
First its about copycat vigilant thats better than Daredevil. Then Punisher's origin story. Suddenly Kingpin, followed by other weirdos from season 1. And then it just happens to be the one-handed butler.
All the while Elektra is back in Matt's life, going against Yakuza, thats digging a hole, thats actually the Hand, who all had autopsy, that bleeds children, who turn out to be bodysnatchers, but then Nobu again, who wants Stick, so they can have Elektra, who is actually the Boraku Sky, so she can lead them, but end up killing her, but then they steal her corpse. And Nobu keeps hitting his head, until Stick cuts it off.
Theres a lot more silly action scenes this season. Sharpshooters trying to hit Punisher while he fights Daredevil. Frank's face is smeared, clearly smeared by blood on the shiv fight. Many of the punches have no kick, latest I remember is when Daredevil breaks into Karen's appartment.

That's what we'd have so far if it wasn't for this show. Frank works best when he has someone to bounce ideology off of. He's street-level hulk, he has no arc, no moral influence on people like Cap. He's just the terminator save for a few slivers of humanity here and there, which are great, but can't carry a whole season without being repetitive, I don't think.
Plus, they have more creative and interesting characters to explore. Frank can overstay his welcome if not very carefully written.

Daredevil S2 feels a lot like Bojack S2. The original series worked really well as a self-contained story, but once they became seasons of a longer show the writing became less tight and thought out, minus a few stand-out moments/elements. "Here's this new thing" is inherently less interesting than "here is more of that thing." 7/10 in general, Frank gets a 9/10.

It's not that he couldn't carry a show, but it's an extremely delicate balance to not make it a guy mowing down everyone over and over. Remember that most of his pathos was already explore here, so scenes like the cemetery one were to repeat themselves, it'd be too emo a show for frank. It's possible, but it requires multiple lightnings in a bottle. Also, it's better to be left wanting for more than let it rot before your eyes.
I liked that it was not about a singular threat, since it shows that things aren't always about a BBEG trying to kill everybody.
I liked the first act and its ending in the graveyard. I loved the back and forth between Frank and DD.
The second act felt the weakest. Elektra was a huge asshole the entire time. It was hard to give a damn about her as the stuff wore on.
Stick dropping by to pour exposition all over everyone was boring. Shame since I like the character, I just cannot give a shit about the Hand nor can I really take them seriously since ninjas are right up there with zombies and androids for disposable henchmen often not booked right.

Way worse than the first season. God, the fighting sucked. You could tell the strikes weren't hitting and he wasn't even punching and kicking hard. There's part on that fight in the building where he touches the other guy with his foot and the guy drops on the floor.
The overall plot sucked as well. Frank and Elektra just didn't connect. Two separate things that didn't make any sense when thrown together in the same season. Should've just been DD and Elektra vs The Hand or DD vs The Mob while defending Castle as Murdock. Trying to mix the two was disastrous.
Every time ninjas showed up it was boring as fuck. "Another ninja fight? ok...". I felt like skipping parts after episode 9 or so. Also, the whole thing of keeping the fans at bay to give the character his costumes only in the last episode for a few seconds is already getting pretty fucking old and annoying.

I don't like Wilson Fisk's role in s2. Sure, it fits very well with his comic book counterpart, but for me it feels like they were trying to make him a more down to earth character in s1 instead of someone who can just snap his fingers and magically gets someone to obey to him. Luke is a harder sell because he's basically invincible so there'll be little stakes. He works wonders as the straight man, but solo he's a bit non-existent.
Jessica isn't interesting because she was created to develop a villain story. Alias isn't about JJ, it's about purple man. The way to keep her character moving forward is to make another psychological thriller but revert the trope. I did read it. All the introductions were building up to having the purple man reveal, what are you talking about? She goes on cases to display her PTSD, but everyone acts weird around her and it raises her suspiscion. It's about the effect that Purple Man has on people, not just the character. It's not a detective run for the sake of it, man. Just because the reveal happens late in the game it doesn't mean it wasn't the purpose of it all.

I liked it more than S1
I thought it felt tighter. Having more characters and plot threads that actually mattered really upped the pacing from S1. It still sadly went with journalist-Karen, which mostly just feels forced and lazily written, but I suppose it's a necessary evil if they really want to give their version of Born Again impact. And really nice that they hinted at it coming for S3 that heavily.
Both Electra and Frank was the best part of the season by far. I knew that Frank would be good, but was a bit scared about Electra. But holy fuck, she delivered.
Ending battle was too quick. Which I don't understand. It only was about 10 minutes. They should have fleshed it out more and have given Frank a bigger role. Pissed that there were 0 interaction between Frank and Electra. It would have been interesting.
And why the fuck did they show Frank with a minigun in the promo material if they weren't going to use it? That's just mean. Like watching a 20 minute blowjob-scene, only for them to have cut out the money shot.

Frank will almost assuredly be back, but for the time being I'm enjoying the Elektra stuff so far. I'll admit that S2 is not as refined as 1, but it is still great.
