this was a good short

Huh, interesting. What are those sweet cubes though? They look tasty.
>>
>>80876083
Not familiar with turkish culture. What was that food? Gelatin?
>>
>>80876355
>>80876450
Right there in the title.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_delight
>>
This was easily the worst episode they've put out.

Still good though!

Those fucking mustaches though.

>>80876355
>>80876450

I tried them, they're chewy, but not all that gelatinous, with a very sweet powder that seems to provide the bulk of it's taste.

It's very sweet, but it's a bit hard to describe their flavor because traditional turkish delights come in very "foreign" flavors before artificial sweeteners. The ones I had were flavored with rose water, to give you a little perspective.
>>
THIIICK!
>>
any chance someone could edit that into a hitler mustache?
>>
>>80876510
Yeah, it wasn't that funny or interesting. Still not BAD by any means, just not good.
>>

>Donald and Goofy against Mickey
I kinda don't like these eps as much
>>
I really like how any short that doesn't take place in America (or at least I assume their home country is the U.S.) uses their native language and they don't speak English at all.

Also, I want a Turkish Mickey Mouse short done 3 Dev Adam style.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDesXNM4R6E
>>
>short name is Turkish Delight
>no mention of Topkek
>>
>>80876083
>It's an episode based on food

God these always make me so hungry.
>>
It just occurred to me: do they make these in only one language, then sub it for other regions? That's pretty interesting, because it teaches the native language for foreigners, saves money, and is definitely interesting as it means they don't rely too much on words to do the comedy.

You guys see where I'm coming from?
>>
>>80876958
They spoke English in the one that took place in England but that was it, maybe if they do a Canada one it'll be partly English too. The international ones are definitely my favorites.
>>
>>80878232
From what I've seen, they speak exclusively in foreign languages (which is pretty fucking cool since its always the same voice actors) and don't sub it at all. so that it's regionally important. Like, oh I'm from Greece? Theres a Mickey short for that. I'm from Spain? Mickey's got you. That seems to be how their operating, and its working really well.
>>
honestly i like the silent/international ones better

the shorts are at their best when they're slapstick and visual-gag focused
>>
This one was rather uninteresting. I can't say there was any part I really liked
>>
>>80876355
>>80876450
It tastes like chewy sugarcubes and eating one felt like I needed to cut off my leg on how fucking sweet it was
>>
There more than just red Turkish delight?
>>

I'd like to sample her turkish delights.
>>
>>80876746
I though the same as a kid, and then tried them again a few years ago. They're not nearly as sweet as regular candy, but I liked them.
>>
Donald and Goofy being antagonists I find that so satisfying kinda beats having Pete be the problem Mickey has to deal with all the time.
>>
>>80876492

I thought Turkish Delight was an euphemism for sex
>>
>>80883363

That's Afternoon Delight!
>>
>>80876770
Isn't this like the only short where both are against him? Anyways, this was a fun short, I liked it. Anyone here speaks Turkish to translate?

I really like how the shorts taking place in other countries are in the language of the region, unsubtitled. It's a really nice touch that adds to the humor of the short.

Also, I'm glad Disney is teaching kids the cultural truth that Turkish men are scummy bastards who will threaten everyone they see as competition with physical violence.
>>
>>80886956
I also like how to represent the fact that these arn't donald and goofy and mickey isnt friends they do something different like dressing them differently or giving them mustaches.
>>
>>80886956
>Also, I'm glad Disney is teaching kids the cultural truth that Turkish men are scummy bastards who will threaten everyone they see as competition with physical violence.
That's pretty much in the whole world m8, bazaars are always war zones

It's like a gelatinous sweet candy covered in powdered sugar and rose water.

Just pick up a box at your grocery store in the foreign aisle.

Why do Turkish Goofy and Donald have moustache but Turkish Mickey not?
Is Mickey boy?

Even beyond that Turks are just hyper aggressive assholes.

Literally talk to a woman a turk had his eyes on and he'll get in your fucking face.

God I hate turks. Smelly fucking rapist hairy shitcunts. Genocidal fucking faggots. Glad their empire collapsed.

>>80888217

It's fucking disgusting.

The music in this one was great, second best after the one set in India
>>
>>80888235
It's tasty.
Good enough to make that kid in Narnia betray his siblings

I hear it's disappointing.

Essentially it's like stiff jello that is very sweet.
It can be pretty bad if you get crap stuff.

The good stuff is powdered with icing sugar, covered in crushed nuts, and lightly sprinkled with rose water.

It's not inherently amazing, but it can be made to be very good

One of these shorts are bound to have snow in them so they can shill Frozen harder. The 5 seconds they spent in that ice cream truck doesn't count.

Why is everyone praising this shit
These are never anywhere near at funny or interesting as the really old stuff, they are just kinda down right bad and boring

If this wasn't disney characters would you really be saying its good?

They taste like the beach, if that makes sense.
>>
>>80888418
The theme of the short would either be snow and something or midnight sun and something.

18 hours of darkness while wading through slush isn't as marketable

You can get everything in burgerland.
You just have to deal with Arabs, so white people tend to avoid places with good food.

I enjoy being a weird ambiguous mix of brown and white so no one can usually pin me down and can go anywhere without a getting the stink eye.

Mongolia.
>>
>>80889569
That's kind of hot

The first few were like that, I remember assuming it would be THE gimmick of the shorts, but it turned out to just be A gimmick of the shorts.

I think they capture the same spirit of those late 30s shorts and are funnier in many aspects

Really the only thing they have over the modern cartoons is that they look better, and that's more a matter of budget and skill
