That it's just bullshit, Ian McKellen, Fassbender, McAvocado and other actors improved their careers by being in superhero movies, they keep playing other good roles in films.
MCU is a different case, because Marvel keep them busy for so long they can hardly get any other role, For example Chris Evans has been in 1 MCU movie for the last 3 years in a row, RDJ was in 2, but next year they will start shooting Avengers 3.1, and later 3., and Samuel L Jackson has been in like 9 movies or so, and still got a contratct for 6 more.
