When he claims to "ice" people, does that imply he KILLS them or just dip them in cold water?
>>
It's directly related to the old "stick their feet in cement, then drop them in the river" mafia deal.
>>
>>80859508
killing them by dropping them in cold water and then sealing the floor back up
>>

Does anyone have a gif of Mr Big kissing Judy in respect for saving his daughter? That was cute as shit
>>
>>80859508
He told Nick and Judy to pass his regards to his grandmama.

He is a stone cold killer and yet Judy, the female hypocrite she is, made friends with him and still considers herself a good cop.
>>

He probably just kills other lowlifes and makes her job easier.

Current feminism:
-Bugs for higher pay/salary
-Alimony privileges
-Work is gender oppression
-Have the law on their side

Disney's feminism through Judy:
-Works for free till the job's done
-Live on your own money, don't crutch on someone else's wallet
-Hard worker, if not life treatening
-Fuck the law!

Pray for that all subsequient women turns like that after watching zootopia!

Judy might be a virgin but Nick almost certainly isn't.

>a virgin

hahahahaha
>>
>>80862258
Judy's definitely had boyfriends, but has never had a "serious" relationship since she was too focused on become a police officer. So there was never any real love in her life.

Nick doesn't let people in or come close to him, so his relationships are often very shallow and only last a few weeks. Eventually he abandoned relationships and just did one night stands.

The way I see it, she's been too work-focused much of her life. Wouldn't be in a relationship until she actively sought one out, and probably wouldn't care for sex outside of a relationship.

Nick, on the other hand, has slept around a bit (guy like him can land a girl pretty easily) but has never had a real relationship because he's averse to getting close with people. Just one night stands for him.
>>
>>80862419
I'm fairly certain she has had relationships, and that they were intimate, but she never took them seriously and they would fizzle out due to her nonchalant treatment of the relationship.

This is something I would have loved in the Q&A. "What did Judy do BEFORE the polica academy"?
She was in school, yeah, but for how long? (Community) College? Luke Skywalker situation? Other jobs?

Also considering the rabbits birth multiple babies at once and seeing how Judy has 275 siblings, doesn't that mean she also has "twins"?

I think that there's going to be a joke in there like "would the kids be called funnies, or boxes?", but the fact of the matter would be that they can't actually have kids through biological means. With all the scientific accuracy they strove for in this movie, it'd be kind of surprising if they threw it all out for the sake of Nick and Judy being able to conceive children.

I'm sure there's plenty of fox orphans out there though, and personally I find the idea of Judy trying to be a good mom to a little fox pup adorable.

They threw out a lot of stuff out the window as well. Judy is in her 20's and Nick is just over 30. They'd both be dead if they were actual animals. So it wouldn't be a huge stretch to assume their universe works on Bojack/Gumball rules and the kids are either their mom's or dad's species.

I like this. I'd logically explain why we only see a fraction of Judy's siblings. Though I'd say the youngest children stay with the parents until they are old enough - maybe after school graduation - to then move on joining a different community, or new community.

Of course Judy is a exception because she has goals different from her other siblings. That makes her stay longer with Stu and Bonnie, which in return actually made them bond closer with each other than with the rest of the family.

Any movie with a sci-fi hook gets one or two "cheats." Zootopia's cheats were that 1) all mammals evolved to fill the place of humans, which means human intelligence, opposable thumbs (with some exceptions), and human lifespans. The second cheat is that they have seemingly unlimited energy through which to power their city's infrastructure, which includes air conditioning and heating for the different biomes.

It would be an entirely separate cheat to ignore basic reproductive biology though, and that might end up being a bridge too far. If Zootopia was a cartoonier setting then maybe they could get away with it, but they actually did keep things pretty grounded aside from the fantastical premise. The characters are never saved by cartoon physics, and the world's logic stays consistent with itself without bending and twisting for the sake of gags. Cross-species impregnation seems like it would be out of place. Even if we were to believe that convergent evolution had gone so far as to make such a thing possible, it doesn't count for why there aren't hybrids running around everywhere and why there isn't a class of mammals that are becoming just "generic mammals" due to all the cross breeding that's occurring. That's a can of worms that most cartoon makers try to avoid.

Nick and Judy having a mixed litter of foxes and bunnies simply would be straight up cartoon logic, and I don't think it would fit in with the setting. It also seems like it'd be a very real concern of Judy's that she can't give birth to kids of her own if she gets together with Nick, and being able to give the characters real hopes and worries is part of why Zootopia is as good as it is. And besides that, it's good to have a nice message about adoption, since lots of kids out there need homes.

He does kind of have a point: the creators have said they try to stick as close to real biology as possible, so funnies and boxes probably wouldn't be a serious thing.

What we might get are adoptive kids though who might identify more with the parent NOT their species.

Or as one person suggested they adopt a grey fox who happens to have longish ears and leave everyone wondering how the fuck they did it.

Yeah I have a feeling that Judy kind of ended up being Stu and Bonnie's "favorite" in some ways just because she was the most different out of all their kids. Not necessarily to imply that they cared less about their other kids, but they were perhaps more concerned about Judy because she was clearly exceptional, and also had a dream that comes with considerable danger. She probably ended up staying with them longer than her siblings.

It's really hard to wrap one's head around the idea how they could have almost 300 kids and still find time to worry about Judy, which suggests that Judy is the only one who ever gave them something to worry about.

1. Evolution likes to repeat things that work on other species. It's not THAT far-fetched that they evolved, especially if they started to interact as a community very early on. In our world there could be way different kinds of humans if they didn't extinct.

2. Considering this and a alternate history of events, the animals might have been able to advance sciemce further in some branches and not fuck up the planet too early like humanity did.

I think that's just a side effect of us being human and having human societies and such.

But, maybe you are right.

I'm just trying to imagine Stu and Bonnie naming all their kids. The oldest ones all having normal names, but as you get to the youngest, they had to delve into like foreign or dead language names.

Yeah that's kind of the point-- the idea of all mammals converging towards human intelligence is unlikely, but doesn't sound impossible. The idea that they have more plentiful and cleaner energy sources due to scientific advancement doesn't ring as implausible either-- we might only be a few decades from that in our own world.

The thing about hybrids and mixed litters though, is that we know from our own world that no matter how many times a dog fucks a cat, you're never going to get a cog or a dat. That wouldn't magically change just by making them smarter.

Mah nigga I've been thinking the same thing. If they're going to adopt it should be a fox, and it would add visual interest if it was a different species from Nick. A gray fox would be amusing because it looks like a mix of Nick and Judy's coloring, and that could set up for some comedy for characters who see them together and don't immediately understand that their kid is adopted.

She needs to get herself out of this mafia web she's got herself caught in. Otherwise, her whole position as a cop and the fact she's trying to set an example for people to understand one another and make Zootopia a better place to live in is going to get pretty fucked later on.

Oh man, what happens when she tries to interrogate Bellwether for information on a case, and Bellwether knows about her and Mr. Big causing her pred/prey prejudice to ignite into overdrive, and Judy can't defend herself because she's genuinely rubbing shoulders with predators who are notoriously dangerous.

I'd also say it's likely Zootopia-earth cracked things like Fusion probasbly because THEY HAD TO. Burn wood to operate steam engines? You piss off forest dwellers. Dig for coal? You piss off burrowers. Etc.

And Zootopia's history was probably also pretty rough for a lot longer than it was on Earth before they settled into things, Judy mentions Predators eating prey and civilizing as recently as "thousands of years ago" (which might just be her misremembering or childhood lack of sense of time scale though) whereas by as far back as ten thousand years ago, humanity began cracking agriculture and began forming progressively larger and more complex civilizations.

Environmentalists are statists. Human progress is seen as immoral and they want it to stop. A few years ago they were telling us to switch over to wind power, and then it started killing the birds so that's bad too. Fact of the matter is that nuclear power is the most abundant and sustainable form of electricity available and none of the "green alternatives" would be able to even replace our current electrical infrastructure, much less expand our capacity.

It's plausible that with a good enough nuclear power infrastructure Zootopia could actually function. For us humans the idea of a completely climate-controlled city seems absurd, but that's because we don't need it. Zootopia really is like a city combined with the artificially re-created environments of a large zoo.

I like to think that this takes place right after Nick and Judy bust up the secret hospital, and before the press conference the next day. She lets Nick crash with her at her apartment and they end up sleeping in the same bed. Nothing sexual, just sleeping and cuddling.

Learning and observing basic human anatomy would help, using light strokes on lines will also help too. Getting referrences, studying said referrences and drawing using said refferences instead of using pure memory helps a lot too since you are copying the looks of the characters that you are drawing.
Also have fun drawing, mistakes are part of drawing and learning from said drawing mistakes will make you a better artist/drawfag/etc.

I don't think their space program is that advanced though, as the tiger plays a spooky alien wobble track, like something straight out of the 50s.
